I probably should have waited to give this review after using it a few times, but after the first use I'm pleased. I live in NY and we generally have good water here. I think the problem is with my building's pipes (rust). Since I've moved into my new place my showers have been terrible. I would come out feeling extremely itchy and my skin would dry up no matter how much lotion I used. I never had this problem before. I'm happy to say that after my first shower with the new filter I'm not itching and my skin felt soft again. Also, my biggest concern was the loss of water pressure. I prefer showers with a very strong flow. My shower actually feels like it gained a little extra pressure. YAYE! There is some very slight leaking where the filter meets the hose. My boyfriend is going to try adding more teflon tape and GENTLY tightening with a wrench. Another thing I like is that the filter attaches directly to the shower arm, so if you're unhappy with the hose/showerhead, you can always swap it out for any handheld shower head you want. Overall on a scale of 1-5:Water quality - 5Water pressure - 5Construction/Durability - 3 (everything is plastic and the shower head is a bit light/flimsy)

Love the filter and shower head- awesome! My dad has had a skin condition for a long time which began clearing up within a few days of getting this shower head. The reason this didn't get 5 stars from me, is because the part that holds the shower handle is plastic, and it broke in less than a month. It is now duct taped and rubber banded into place so we can no longer use it as a handheld shower. Disappointing because we have loved our filter for our kitchen sink from Crystal Quest and had high hopes for this one, too!UPDATE: I was able to purchase a universal Chrome shower wand holder at Menards that has been working great for us. The filter is still working really well a year later, and I am back to purchase another for our other bathroom!

Bought this, and was working well for a few months. About the 4th month, started to leak, and could tell the filter wasn't working properly, due to smelling chlorine again in shower. Called Crystal Quest directly, they said they would send me out a new unit, that was over 2 months ago! Tried to work with this seller, said they would get back with me the next day - it's been over a week and still haven't heard anything back from the seller or Crystal Quest. This was really the worst customer service I've experienced. Next time would buy a different brand, just to ensure proper customer service.

Parts won't fit properly, and filter element clogged after 2.5 months.

Kind of disappointed with the quality of the all plastic unit. Will go out and purchase different shower head later. The hose still won't "behave" itself. Need more flexible supply hose. Filter works GREAT! Living in the NW whenever we get our torrential rains, the water services pump up the "chlorine" and being somewhat allergic to it, the filter takes care of the smell and irritation.

not only does it filter the bad stuff from your shower water, but the design gives you a nice steady well dispersed stream of water.

Cheap! I would not recommend purchasing this unit at all! It literally blew the handle into 2 pieces after about a week of use!! It had taken us over a month to install it so they wouldn't let me return or exchange it. Literally it is the cheapest plastic imaginable.
