Big Improvement
Bulb is much brighter than the standard bulb. Very happy with the results.

Light is whiter, but not a whole lot brighter.

Bright, but yellow.
Easy drop in replacement bulb to convert old Maglite to LED. The LED light is very yellow, which I guess simulates the old bulb color pretty well, but it's VERY yellow. Would have preferred a more blue/white light.

Worth the upgrade
It was a very good upgrade on my old-school maglite. It saved battery life due to being an led and lit up a good amount of area when compared to the original. Super easy install and it looks original. I have a larger size light and it fit perfectly. Good buy worth the money.

Good way to upgrade a classic...
My boss (wife) has an old Maglite that she's pretty attached to emotionally. She's very reluctant to give it up for any reason. I even tried getting her another Maglite that already came with an LED bulb. No joy. The light the old one puts out is so yellow and dim though compared to all of our other lights (which are all LEDs). I ran across this item and... "Light Bulb!" Once I received it, I immediately installed it into the old Maglite. Installation was pretty easy and she was very happy with the results. Compared to the newer Maglite with the LED, the older one was still slightly dimmer sadly, but it was more than bright enough for any kind of use we'd put it through.Overall, I'm happy with the results. Happy wife, happy life!
