Fun instrument with great quality - able to withstand a decent amount of kid rough-housing too
I love this Pottery Ocarina. The sound is amazing, clear, haunting, unique.(Please see the enclosed pictures and video.)Within three hours of owning it, I was able to record a song.A few points for parents of budding musicians. This instrument is pretty easy to play, easier than learning frets and needing finger strength to play a guitar.I dropped the ocarina, and it did not break. I was amazed as it is made of pottery. Also, it is washable. (Just be gentle, hand wash it, do not put it in a dishwasher. For the money, you cannot beat this bargain.Five stars.

Try one for yourself
Just as advertised this ocarina has a beautiful tone and the higher notes are easy to hit without having to use a lot of air pressure. Very well tuned, this ocarina is easily one of my favorites. This time you get more than what you paid for.

It’s very sleek and stylish in appearance!
It’s a good ocarina for my first! Was hoping to be able to reach higher notes but I’m content with it! 😊

Nice Looks, Not-So-Nice Playability
I can't compare this ocarina to others, since this is my first one. However, as someone who has learned and played instruments such as the recorder, I'm going to have to dissuade others from this one, for a few reasons. First, the fingering diagrams seem to have quite a few errors! 🤦♂️ I've opted to refer to one I found online instead. Secondly, the neck strap is not easy to install on its own; I got a paper clip and deformed it to make a special tool to feed it through. Thirdly, relative to a recorder, the holes are not flat and therefore increase the learning curve by making the notes harder to get into pitch; while I find that this can be taken advantage of for pitch bending, I'd rather they be easier to actually finger while I'm learning it. Finally, this is probably best for medium hands, not small ones as children have, or larger ones or longer fingers (I have the latter). There are probably better ocarinas for beginners. Overall, though, I'm not dissatisfied. The solid black color scheme will be easy to decorate, and the ceramic build should prove to be easy to wash out. I'm sure I can find some inserts somewhere to make the playability better, or else there may be some instructions I can follow to modify the holes. Worst case scenario, though, it ends up looking good on a shelf full of musical knick-knacks or something.
