Too hard to get into, literally. I mean I couldnโt get past the first area after 3 hours and that to me isnโt entertainment - or time well spent.Theres a lot to remember controls wise and although there is a good tutorial it doesnโt really tell you how and when you can do certain stuff. Also some fighting mechanics seem very hit and miss as to whether they will actually work - not so much timing as chance.I enjoyed the first one (finished that) and that was a decent game just happened to get โharderโ as you progressed. This is hard for hards sake if I can put it that way. Why this is desirable I have no idea. People playing your game and admiring your work would seem to me to be more desirable but maybe thatโs just me.Anyway it looks good, no glitches, and great character customisation. I spent longer on this than I did playing the game! Itโs a shame that my character didnโt actually matter in the grand scheme of things. Complete bad ass Iโd made as well. Shame. Youโd go a long way to see hair like that anywhere put it that way. While Iโm on I have to mention the inventory/equipment menus. I have been playing games for a long time and never thought Iโd ever see every trope added together to give you the messiest most unintelligible menu system of all time - well, now I have. Is 0.1 of this better that 0.3 of that and whoa, is that a different colour - or is my eyes Etc. Etc. Dear me. Awful. Way too complex to even bother with. To be honest with you after my 3 hours I could have spent another hour trawling through this but lifeโs too short. One plus though. Good size font, I could actually read this mess. Top marks.I wonโt mention the skill tree(s). One look was enough for me to know that I couldnโt even be bothered to work out what was going on there!Itโs a shame that full price games such as this are going so niche and that a lot of people wonโt get to experience the full game. What sort of business model is this really? They wonโt sell the units they think. As the old joke goes, itโs been educational - taught me a lesson. I wonโt be tempted by another one of this ilk from them.If you are into this sort of stuff then thatโs fine and Iโm sure some will love it but for me (and I suspect many others) itโs fast becoming a genre that I am being excluded from. Why canโt we go back to starts off easy, teaches you techniques and then the difficult ramps up but you have the experience to at least have a chance? Is this hard to implement or are developers so far up themselves that they have to have the โhardestโ game. Not universally played mind, just the hardest. Baffles me.I have limited gaming hours and Iโm not spending them doing the same thing again and again and again. That ship has sailed.Iโll enjoy run the run throughs on You Tube (fast becoming better than actually buying the games themselves) as someone will likely blast through it. Wonโt look as good as โSplit Endzโ doing it but there you go.Anyway Cex have it now. Iโm annoyed a bit as I was really looking forward to this but in the grand scheme of things Iโll get over it.For me itโs a 2/5. I can see the merits in it but wasted on me.JSK

Great so far
A refined Nioh 1, lots more content and mechanics. Decent performance; fps wise. Not too difficult (so far) I'm in the third area, I haven't a clue what all the other reviews complaining about the difficulty are on about. If you use the burst counter system, you almost completely nullify most bosses; however I will state, the burst counters don't always feel consistent, with certain attacks having larger or small hit boxes and collisions.Lots of gear, to the extent that most feels redundant, however this all works in the games favor, due to the system of recycling all items for materials or Amrita (The leveling currency). Many more micro-mechanics that you won't for the most part notice, unless you come across them by happenstance, or you're specifically looking for them. Such as a stat page, that shows literally every stat increase and bonus that you currently have.If you're just starting out, here's some info you must know. I strongly recommend you pick the feral form at the beginning, this gives lots of mobility. Look out for set bonus armour and weapons, these give you a special effect when you have multiple of the same type on. Try and make a build for your character, pick one or two weapon types and focus on them, this allows you to have some level of character focus, as the weapons can take a while to learn, due to the sheer amount of nuances between them all.You level skills up via usage, if you want magic, use spell items until you get level one, then spend that point on the items to keep leveling it from the skill tree, this goes for the ninja tree too; this also applies to weapon trees. Most bosses in coop are a complete cakewalk, I recommend you solo the bosses, as they can be too easily trivialized, this can ruin some of the levels. The game can be completely completed online. The Torii Gate, allows you to join randoms, I assume to help someone on a mission, that you've already completed yourself. You can host missions that you have yet to complete and join others; if you complete a mission this way, it will count as completed for both the host, and the players; this effectively allows you to complete the whole game in coop (I believe), if that's what you desire. So far it's been enjoyable, there's been a few moments where it feels cheap (Think Super Meat Boy world 4 boss), however they're few and far between. I'll update this review once I've completed the game.

Superb!
Exatcly what i have expected after completing first game! And honestly i have found it little bit easier than first game. It is DEFINITELY NOT hard as Sekiro! Top notch action game with lots of rpg elements and great graphics.

Absolutely stunning
Absolutely incredible team ninja fixed nearly everything that was bad in the 1st game and made it a much more polished experience i really love the ability to make your own character because I was never a fan of William from the 1st game. Also the game is hard like incredibly hard like 100000000000% more hard and difficult than the original game or any of the from software games For that matter also games the bosses are insanely tough they are no joke. Over all nioh 2 Is a massive step in the right direction from the 1st game and is a must by for hardcore gamers like myself.

Nice pretty much like the first one
If you loved the first one, then you'll love this, as it's probably 95% the same formula. Gorgeous graphic and atmosphere but oh boy is it tough, tough, TOUGH! Good addition is co-op and AI helper. Nioh 2 is more polished than the first, but I prefer the story to the first one, this one seems a bit more weak. I am finding that again I'm spending hours grinding, trying to level up, which to be honest is getting boring. I am finding this one incredibly tough but hey I knew what I signed up for!Generally it's pretty good if you're into these kinds of games, 4 stars only because it's not groundbreaking, it's the same as the first with some refinement, still not up there with the 'Souls' games but definitely worth a go if this is your thing. If not stay away because you'll probably hate it!
