2007 Scion tC, not a great option
Was replacing blown factory door speakers. Bought these adapters.Did not use them, because not the best option at my disposal.OEM speaker-spacer has more depth than this Scosche adapter.OEM also has dust/debris/fluid 'awning' plastic, that helps prevent debris that falls/drips into the door through the window seal, from landing on the speaker. Scosche adapter does not.OEM speaker-spacer is already mounted to the door.I opted instead to discard the Scosche adapters, and modify the OEM speaker-spacer, to mount my new speakers.I left the OEM speaker plastic mounted to the door; but cut the old speaker out of it with these steps.I cut the cone surround.Yanked the cone out.Cut the plastic speaker frame ribs, with heavy duty side cutters.Cut the copper wires connecting the terminals to the voice coil. The above allowed me to completely remove the old speaker cone, etc. from the old adapter plastic spacer.I then did some clean-up trimming/removing of the OEM plastic speaker ribs.I pushed the OEM speaker connector out of its mounting location in the speaker-spacer.I did use the Metra wiring harness adapter to connect the OEM audio connector to the new speaker terminals. Much less hassle than trimming/stripping/soldering.I lined up my new speaker with the OEM speaker-spacer.Then, pre-drilled some mounting holes through the OEM speaker-spacer & door, that lined up with the mounting ears on my new speaker. Some vacuuming clean-up work to remove drilling & cutting debris.Connected the Metra wire adapter to the OEM connector, and the new speaker terminals.I then used some sheet-metal screws to mount the new speaker to the OEM speaker-spacer/car-door-metal.Wallah.To my mind, re-purposing the OEM plastic speaker-spacer was less work, and a better outcome than if I had not discarded this Scosche adapter set.Your mileage may vary.

Fits 1st gen Scion xB ('04-'06) - Rear
In my "Amazon Garage", the note states "does not fit your car" ('05 xB) but on the Scosche website it says it does so I decided to give them a shot.PERFECT FIT! The factory threaded holes are weirdly spaced and these rings lined right up. They don't come with fasteners but the factory screws are M6 1.00 which are available at Ace Hardware for like $0.75/ea. The ones I got were 20mm long, but the 15mm would work. I used a little blue Loctite to make myself feel better. The El Cheapo 5.25" speakers I used came with little black screws that went right into the Scosche rings with no problem.Good value and easy to install (once you get the interior trim panel off🫤)

Use with 5 1/4", 6.5s require modification.
Bought these to put 6.5" Jbl GX628s in the rear of my 2005 Scion xB. The speakers fit, but there was no place to screw in the speakers, as the holes for screws on the speakers were outside the adaptor itself. I got it to fit by drilling holes through the adaptor and car itself, and adding a nut on the other end. Worked for what was advertised but still required modification.

They worked
They worked for my 2005 Scion xB but be open to a little bit of creativity in customizing the fasten points. Look at some you tube videos for better examples.

Worked well
A bit small for a 6.5" speaker, but still worked fine with a bit of modifying. Can't blame the adapter, it did end up working out just fine.

Scion xB 2004-2006 Rear Speakers
These fit wonderfully in my Scion xB, posed no problems with 5¼ speakers. Will not work with 6½ or 6 inch speakers. This is specifically meant for the rear 5¼ inch speakers of a Scion xB 2004-2006 1st generation model. Surely can work with other vehicles, but for the xB that's what it is for.

Product is the right size.....but
I got these to install the Polk Audio DB651 6.5" speakers in the rear of my 2006 Scion XB. While they did fit the holes properly, they were too thick. In the end, I ended up cutting my adapters out of hardwood and using that instead. The wood was thin enough to keep the speakers from pressing against the panels of the car.

Okay
They are plastic. The sort of fit, but you can drill them. Should be cheaper for just simple plastic parts that probably pop-out of some injection molding machine all day long.

Worked perfectly
To be honest, I installed these in a completely different car (Toyota Funcargo - rear speaker location) andthey both fit the factory holes, and fit the speakers perfectly.
