What's the difference between the 825 model and the 835 model? Specs look exactly the same.

What is the maximum range of the Microphone to the receiver? I have a sound booth in a balcony 30 yards away?

Roughly 200 - 250 feet line of site, meaning there are no major obstructions like walls. If you're in need of a product with a farther range, look to the XSW2 which has antennas, or the EW 100-835 which has a higher output power giving that system a 325 foot range

Can you connect other manufacturer's microphones to the system or only those produced by Sennheiser?

Good day, and thank you for your question. The XSW series is only designed to work with other XSW series units in the same frequency range. It may be physically possible to connect another microphone (if they use the same compander and frequency allocations) but there would be no guarantee of audio quality or performance. Can I plug in second mic in order to sing duet?
