Nice dark ink.
These cartridges are great. The ink is even and dark. The ball bearing in them means that they don't run dry, which is always a bonus.

Great waterproof ink
I use these cartridges in a couple of my ink pens for drawing so I can do a colourwash after. More portable than a bottle, though I do have converters for my pens and Far less messy!

Good dark black ink, dries waterproof.
Good waterproof ink purchased this for using in pen and ink with watercolour painting.

Doesn’t fit my fountain pens
I don’t think it is clearly explained that it there are different sized cartridges for different pens. I bought 3 pack thinking I’d have lots of spares. Now they are useless to me as I find there is a “no return” policy for this item.

Convenient pigment ink. Not a bad price, good way to carry extra ink without a bottle.
Here is the famous carbon black ink! it's easy to take a few cartridges in my sketch kit with me and be able to refill if my pen runs out. the price of these is not too bad and I could reuse the empty cartridges from a bottle with a blunt syringe, more cheaply then buying the official converters. I'm going to experiment with plugging the refilled cartridges with a little bit of tombow putty or Blu tack to see if a little plug of it can just be removed in the field and used as a regular refill without leaking or leaving blue tack in my pen. Since it does fit into my preppy pens, and those are fairly cheap, I'll experiment that way so that I don't have to worried about a better pen getting wrecked with BlueTaC.if you are someone who is looking for it spelled out.... Yes! This ink is great for urban sketching with watercolors, it's WTAERPROOF once you let it dry, and you can wash right over it once it is dry without smudging or fading or bleeding. It's good stuff.different papers do have different sizing and drying times. I would keep a page set aside in your notebook to do some sample marks and make sure your materials play well together, and that you know how long it takes to dry on that specific paper before you can wet it. I do have a Strathmore 400 watercolor journal that has very picky sizing... noodler's never really tended to be very waterproof on it and it took a very long time to dry. This one did dry more quickly than noodlers on that particular paper, but it did take longer than I initially expected before the ink set up dry and waterproof. I also use De Atramentis archival ink-- it dried about the same length of time as this Carbon Black one does, and is about the same amount of blackness and as waterproof. Personally I like this ink better than noodlers, and I also really like the De Atramentis archival ink. but again, different papers are going to respond to materials differently and you'd be well off to make a sample test page to make sure you know how your materials handle in specific combinations before you get down to doing work that you spend a lot of time on.
