Results Display Appears Reliable and Accurate
My wife bemoans that our 7 yr old Tanita bathroom scale is no longer providing an accurate BMI measurement. A 34 BMI means you are "obese." So I searched for a new bathroom scale to replace our Tanita. After reading the reviews on many of the different available scales on Amazon, we decided to order this INSEN model because of its many parameters which include Body Fat, Body Water, Muscle, Bone Substance, BMI and Calorie. Our Tanita features only weight and BMI. As Prime eligible, INSEN arrived promptly as promised. Setting it up is not that difficult as the Instructions are direct and clear. When you install the batteries included in the package, it turns on and shows a "KG" reading. You may switch the readings by pressing the Unit key located at the back (bottom) to select the unit of measure you desire. Remember, the scale's memory will default to the last unit used. Following the Instruction Manual will assist you in setting it up correctly. Now for the result: On the second day of use, INSEN reads 163.2 lbs in weight and 25.6 BMI. As compared to our old Tanita, the readings show 163.4 lbs and 34.5 BMI. As you can see, there's a very slight difference in weight measurement but Tanita's BMI readings appear to be inaccurate. Over 25 BMI readings mean you are fat. My primary doctor suggests an 18.5 BMI readings which is getting harder to achieve as the food you are not supposed to eat is very hard to resist.Because of its many Parameters, we'll use INSEN for our daily morning measurement routine. As a side note, keep the instruction so you can refer to it until you fully memorize the meanings of the readings. A naked body will no doubt display an accurate readings when you step on the scale platform.

Don't buy
It worked for a month & after that only the scale did! The body fat would say error & stopped working. I couldnt return it because it had passed the expiration time allowed. But with my luck it was only 2 days passed it! Waste of money!

By pass
It did not last and broke before even being 6 months old. At first, it was okay then it started having issues coming on and going off. So for the money, I would find another product.

Bought two and only one of the two worked -- the digital reading was all messed up and it wouldn't reset. Sent broken one back and was credited as Amazon Credit (wasn't able to get money refunded). Ordered a new one and it appears to work okay. Readings are big and clear. I don't trust that only 50-66% of the products don't work, so I would reconsider if I had to buy it fresh off the shelf. We needed it for research and we needed a paired set and would read the same. Since we had already started with the one, we had to buy a match to it.

This scale is probably pretty good. It's consistent with my old sad looking scale which lines up with my doc's in terms of weight. It looks good. I'm not sure about the accuracy of the other numbers except for BMI which is just based on math of the info you give it. I figure as long as I am roughly consistent then it's ok. It is, however, sensitive. Read the directions and it says if you move it, the next several readings may not be accurate. So, if you hoped to take it out and put it up, that's probably not the best idea. Pounds and BMI are problematic measurements, generally. But, they are an easy something. You should think about how your body feels and what it can do (strength, flexibility, lungs/ability to run or hike or whatever and recover quickly). It's unclear what the calorie measurement is. My guess after googling around at other scales is that it's an *estimate* of your Basal Metabolic Rate based on what you tell it. That is, mass (Kg/lb)& height & age & gender. BMR is the minimum calories your body requires to do nothing (e.g., sleeping/vegging out) but still being able to function (e.g., heart, lungs). If you do anything else - cleaning the house, etc, this will go up a bit...but not as much as you might think/hope. This scale's rec is just about 20 call higher than my keto calculator. So, prob. pretty good.

Great looking scale. Love it!
This bathroom scale came packed very well in a box and what a delight to open and see such a sharp looking scale. My old one is ready for the trash after seeing this one. It is very easy to set up and works great on a flat surface. Also is low to the ground so it is easy to step up on. This body fat scale with bio impedance analysis (bia) technology that measures and calculates body weight, bmi, fat, water, calories, muscle and bone mass. This scale can be used for the whole family. Step on and it turns right on and has a auto-off so it saves on the battery. Bright LED numbers. I would recommend this product to family and friends. Disclosure: I received this product for free/discounted however this in no way influenced my review. I only write honest reviews regardless of whether I purchased a product at full price, at a discount, or received it free.

Words were misspelled and sentences didn't make sense because the translation was so poor. I did give it a try
I immediately became skeptical of this product when I read the instruction booklet. Words were misspelled and sentences didn't make sense because the translation was so poor. I did give it a try, however. After making sure the scales were on sturdy flooring, as the directions indicated, I weighed myself. No matter how many times I stepped on the scale, I weighed a different amount, with the range varying by up to 15 pounds!!! Even my old scales were more accurate than that. The only thing about this product that was satisfactory was the ease of entering personal information for allowing the scale to give you your BMI, etc. None of those other readings could be trusted to be correct, however, because I never could get an accurate reading of the most basic measure of all -- my weight! Perhaps I just got a lemon because most of the other reviews were good (that's why I chose the product in the first place), however, I am not wasting my time reordering the same item.
