Stargate Atlantis: Exogenesis

Als Fan der Serie fand ich das Buch sehr spannend. Hinzu kommt, dass ich gerne englisch-sprachige Bücher lese um meine Sprachkenntnisse immer mal wieder aufzufrischen.Das Buch ist einfach gute spannende Unterhaltung, natürlich hilft es, wenn man die Serie gerne sieht.

This might be a review, or it may just be gushing. Forgive me if it ends up being the latter, because this book is amazing.Here are a few reasons why:1. The story is extremely multi-faceted, eventually branching out into a number of different sub-stories, all related and tying into one another.2. The stories themselves are extremely interesting; be prepared for some truly unexpected twists and turns.3. The characterisation is perfect. I was a bit apprehensive about reading something like this, fearing that the characters I know and love would be somewhat different here, as the authors might not be acquainted with the show on a level that would afford them the ability to write for the characters properly. My heaven was I wrong. I'd actually say that the characterisation in this book is more consistent than in the latter half of the show itself.4. Many things are foreshadowed, making the inevitable payoffs immensely satisfying and surprising.5. It's all perfectly canonical.6. The 'Turpi' character. (Seriously, what a beautiful sequences of events revolving around her).Overall, I'd say this book is quite possibly the best 'episode' of Atlantis I've 'seen' since season one. And given the reverence in which I hold that season, there is no higher compliment I could pay.No fan of Stargate Atlantis should skip this book. Actually, I'd say that, even if you haven't seen the show, the book would still be very much worth the read.

This book was amazing! Such a different side to Rodney that was lovely to see, especially as he is my favorite character! Definitely in my top 5 for Stargate literature and will be read many more times!

I have to admit to not having read it yet, but the simple fact that I managed to get hold of one for substantially less than some charlatans have been asking, means that I'm thrilled with it.

Great read for any Stargate fan, and a fabulous gem for any Radek Zelenka fan! I enjoyed it from start to finish.
