This is just an incredible chess set. The pieces are easily distinguishable and the detailing is excellent. So happy l pulled the trigger on these, awesome to look at let alone play with.Very well packaged in a cardboard box with a cutout foam insert that protects every piece. Really appreciate this as many chess sets ignore the storage, let alone provide amazing protection.These are resin pieces so they are lighter and easier to tip over than cast, but you will never get these detailed pieces in cast at this price point.My second photo shows the pieces on a board bought here, check my reviews to see this great deal.Bottom line this chess set allows you to dress your game up at a very modest cost, the figures are great looking and we'll detailed. Already watching this seller's other items just to buy sets for display.

Without exception, these are the most beautiful Chess pieces I have seen. But be careful..., my cat knocked over the King in the middle of the night and decapitated him. Thank God for Krazy Glue. They almost seem as if they are made of porcelain. One drawback though, they are very light.

I can hardly wait to give it to my grandson for his birthday. I also bought him a wooden tournament board and a bag to transport it. He will be ecstaticwhen he sees this, he has a lot of Schleich knights that we collected since he was 7 or 8 years old.Just beautiful and worth every penny,

Very nice looking pieces.They crossed lines and missed a few spots in painting, but you have to be real picky to notice.You may want to paint the bases to make it easier to tell the pieces apart while playing a game.

Very happy with this purchase. Arrived timely and in good condition. The pieces are not painted perfect, there are minor flaws, but none that I wasn't happy with for the overall look and price. For example, there isn't consistency along edges of horses hooves, some of the eyes do not have the paint centered on the detail and are a bit off target, each square of the horses blankets are not painted just so, and examples like that. If you are willing to be ok with these type of examples, then this is the set for you. We like having a set that is hand painted. I really liked how the character pieces were fashioned in their poses so this was a big draw for me. Enjoy :)
