Sizzixthinlits die set 661599, paper snowflakes, mini by tim holtz, 14 pack, one size, multi color

Bought a Sizzix Big Shot a few months ago and these are the first on-brand dies I’ve bought (preferring other designs and prices!). They work just as they should, and it’s simple to layer an extra layer of card on top before embossing if you don’t have the envelopes (I don’t). I won’t bow to brands who charge high prices for items needed to do what machine is supposed to do ‘straight out of the box’ (like the additional embossing pads I had to fork out for, thank you Sizzix), but for the intricate snowflake designs, these were worth the price.

These dies arrived in a little pouch which is helpful for keeping them tidy. Simple to use and the cut pieces were easy to extract in fact depending on the thickness of card I was using sone snowflakes just fell from the die. I used a variety of card for the snowflakes some being proper craft card but the silver card was saved from used tissue boxes and was harder to cut and took several takes to work but this was not the fault of the die which I am sure is not designed with non crafting card in mind. I would recommend this set and am planning to cut a few more to decorate windows this year.

Lovely set, and cut really well. I’m new to crafting but found this set really easy to use. Looking forward to creating some new projects with them.
