Nyxia Uprising: The Nyxia Triad

This book is the third in the series. I have now bought all three books for my grandson. He really likes the stories.

Much better than the second one, but not as good as the first. I enjoyed the aliens and the fight sequences and the whole revenge narrative, but I felt that it lacked the energy and the relationships that I loved about the first book. Nyxia Uprising is a very open book, whereas the first was pretty much constrained to the ship.I'm off to go re-read Nyxia.

Mir haben Buch 1 und 2 wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Leider muss ich sagen, dass sich der letzte Teil in ewigen Kämpfen auf verschiedenen Ebenen für meinen Geschmack etwas dahin zieht. Schade.

Great read

That was not at all what I was expecting for a finale book. I thought maybe more people would die than those who did. I’m kind of glad that it went down the way it did, and some of the people I thought would die didn’t, and I’m sad that some other people did die. I’m not even sure how to write a review for a third book without spoiling everything.It was a tiny bit slow in the beginning getting reacquainted with everyone, however once my mind was refreshed, I was like let’s get this show on the road. I really enjoyed the random friendships that popped up in this world, a world where you were either team A or team B. There was no in between, I felt like the Imago really did have pure intentions from the beginning and if Babel had started out with pure intentions also we really could’ve had something. Of course man always has to be greedy. I enjoyed how this mismatched family could fit together so seamlessly. While most of the time everything was pretty heavy with what was going on around them you had the kid brother who always threw in a joke once in a while to lighten the mood.I enjoyed this authors structure and set up of the world and everything to do with the Nyxia itself. That took some real imagination. I could not even conjure up some of that in my wildest dreams. From how everyone could speak to each other from different countries, to how everyone preferred different weapons with their Nyxia. The way things looked, tasted, smelled or touched, it was almost as if you were there. It takes a lot for an author to put you into a story itself. Yes, I will from now on auto buy anything from this author until he lets me down (which will never happen)
