Paid a bit more for this fan than other similar ones, but it installed very easily, is virtually silent (except for air moving around the blades at high speeds), and looks great in our family room. It fits very close to the ceiling, so it does not reduce headroom much at all, and despite being close to the ceiling does a nice job of moving air.

Had to replace a much older 4-blade fan after the kids broke the blade irons and finding replacements was harder than replacing the fan.This fan fits right up against the ceiling which is mandatory in our split-level, 8' ceiling house. No decapitations please!Installation was incredibly easy, fan is effectively silent and moves plenty of air.This was the second attempted installation. First purchase was a hunter which was more expensive, overly complicated and did not mount securely with the provided hardware. Emerson's product proves the engineering axiom: KISS.In all the product met my highest expectations at a great price. Any fan to be replaced in my house will be this model.

Pretty good. Very slight whine when it runs. If you have perfect hearing, as I do, you will be bothered by it. If your hearing is fuzzy, well, then you'll be fine. Very nice appearance, fits very close to the ceiling. Not as quiet as the Casablanca fan it replaced that was huge and bulky, but silent. Installed by my electrician, who had no problems installing it.

Just installed, this past weekend (5/11/19). Replaced existing fan that was installed 20+ years ago. Wanted something that hugged ceiling. This one is perfect. The original fan we had (in kitchen) was 48" diameter, this one is "42" diameter.The supplied installation manual was very easy to follow and had detailed wire colors and screw sizes for easier installation. The white blends in with ceiling very well. Fan operation at all 3 speeds is extremely quiet. Would highly recommend!

I needed to replace the very cheaply priced ceiling fan in our bedroom, which we'd had for years. It had developed a noisy motor vibration on low speed. Fans in the other rooms are Concord huggers (we have low ceilings) but Concord huggers, which are quiet, have heavier motors and are bargain priced, are not made any more so I got the Emerson. The Emerson's motor is smaller than the Concord's, but I think Emerson has been making ceiling fans as long as anybody. No complaints about the motor--it runs quiet which is what I wanted. Although it's about $30 more than the Concords, it's reasonably priced compared to other brands of its blade and motor size. The design is simple but classy. We're very satisfied with the Emerson.

Not the prettiest or most modern looking fan you can find but it is the lowest profile fan out there and moves air well. In fact, we had this same Emerson fan model for twenty years, used every night of the year, winter or summer, on medium or high speed. It lasted that long with never a wobble or click. So when it finally died last week after giving us so many years of trouble free service, we replaced it with the same one. Installed fairly easily and it worked with the switch in the wall from the previous fan.

Got this fan to go into my old vintage home and did not want something that hung low. I needed a quiet fan and one that moved the air well because I have 9 foot ceilings. It also had to look good. Guess what? This fan did it all. Quiet, powerful and low profile. The fan is light weight and easy to install. Can't think of anything else it could do. Optional light and remote are available but I opted to simply use a wall switch.

the fan looks good but has a hum like a fluorescent light. I removed the Emerson control switch and that helped a little with the pitch of the hum but what a waste of money!!!

Would have been nice if it had a been a little more assembled however when you have electrician putting it up that solves that problem nice product works well only thing I would say there is a very minor hum to it

According to EnergyStar, this fan is the most energy efficient on the market.It is easy to install, a single person can do it rapidly.The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that while the description says "Special function: reversible", I expected the fan blades could rotate in both directions. However, it's not the case. Here, reversible means the fan blades are reversible. They have two colours (brown and dark brown) so you can choose which one you prefer. I feel like that part of the description is a kind of scam, I would not have bought this model if I would have known.
