MOVKZACV Japanese BBQ Grill
This under review BBQ Grill is really small (12.5D x 24W x 11.5H centimetres) and used for a style of Japanese cooking called Yakiniku (Originally Korean) which literally translates to "grilled meat".A Yakiniku gathering is a very social event where bite size pieces of raw meat and veg are cooked at the table. The picture in this listing showing lots of food being grilled is deceptive because the BBQ shown is the big brother of the one under review. It comes 4 holes instead of two on the sides and is 37D x 20W x 15H centimetres. I have uploaded some pictures to give an idea of its true size.Because of the small size of the BBQ under review, normal charcoal is too big for it.Even if the charcoal is broken up small enough it will not burn hot or long enough for a meaningful grilling session. When done in Japan they use white charcoal (Also known as hard charcoal) such as binchotan or marabu which burns hotter and 4 times longer than the soft charcoals we buy in the UK.I managed to get 100gm of broken soft charcoals into it.Whilst the White Charcoals give off less Carbon monoxide than soft wood charcoals, it is NOT safe to use any charcoals inside without proper CO extraction measures taken. The BBQ grill itself is very well crafted and pleasing on the eye so doubles as a lovely ornament. So in summary, this is a lovely looking small Japanese grill that requires White Charcoal to do any meaningful grilling so don't expect to use soft charcoal to cook your quarter pounders from frozen.Awarding three stars because of the misleading pictures about size of grilling area and lack of warnings about CO dangers when used indoors as suggested in listing.

Such a nice thing to own, but smaller than expected.
I was so excited to see the advertised and ordered straight away. The quality id really high, and it looks and feels great. Even the wooden base looks good.but...its also very small. Check out the last photo with a normal sized pen.Sadly because its so small I have not been able to make use of it, as its really only suitable for one person who fancies some tasty little skewered snacks.
