Not practical at all
Honestly I am very disappointed with this product. Went camping in the desert and I couldn’t even set it up due to a very light wind. Plus both sticks sink deep in the sand and you can barely have space on top of your head.

It's Generic Until You Customize It For Your Vehicle
I like it. Although it's not as sturdy in comparison to a ARB awning, it's also a fraction of the cost. Plus I have the added benefit that I can now mount it on any portion of my roof rack giving this simple design more versatility. I also have an FJ Cruiser and I experimented with it some and made an easy modification to get rid of that center sag and now it drains water instead of collecting it. I also got a can of silicone waterproofing spray and treated both sides. Now I have the ability to use it at the beach or a camp site whenever I want EZ shade or rain protection. I cannot complain for the price. This is about the only design out there that will fit most if not all vehicles. Once you set it up, which takes about ten minutes, you will be able to see what is needed to make yours more customized for your vehicle. FJ Cruiser owner's are notorious for constantly modifying existing designs to make things better. All I did was the same thing. I took a great product and made it better.
