I use these as DnD coins or for board game money (DnD ToA). The best part is it doesn't look like a biased type of coin, just a generically pressed gold piece, unless you can't erase the whole "pirate" theme doubloons come with. I also like how they look uneven. Clean-cut coins turn me off because some games run in olden fantasy times, where currency was based on weighted metals. :) Authentic feel.Great quality. Made of metal. Authentic feel. Perfect ratios.These all come from one mold, but not too noticeable unless you stack them perfectly together. The 200 pack isn't really a lot. My image shows only 1/5 of my standard sized third-die dice bag (celtic medal). So, if you plan to fill a bag, it may take a bit. XDUnlike some reviews, I received a complete and correct 25% of all 4 types in my 200 piece collection.The doubloons were separated into 2 ziplocks of 100 pieces of 25 shiny gold, 25 shiny silver, 25 aged gold, 25 aged silver all in one big ziplock.The gold and silver are wonderfully sparkly (almost too obviously fake, but I digress!). The aged/tarnished ones are actually made up of 2 base colors.Most people have received (or perceived) only 3 colors, but mine came in 4: shiny gold, shiny silver and their aged tarnished versions (dark coins). So, perhaps those with more aged coins than gold and silver might have overlooked the fact that there are 2 aged colors for a total of 25% of each color (shiny gold and silver, and tarnished gold and silver). Although, that doesn't explain the fact that some of them received less than their complete count.

When I ordered these, I was under the (mistaken) impression that they would be the same size as a real doubloon, a large coin roughly the size of a US Kennedy half-dollar. I have a couple replica coins with almost precisely the same stamp as those shown in the picture that are that size already, and figured I could add these to my collection. I was confused at the small size of the package I received initially, and then checked the description which plainly states that these coins are the size of a US quarter; this was great news! The small coins are actually much better for my intended use. They are pleasantly "clinky," small enough to be easily held in large numbers, and large enough to have a significant heft.I received: 50 coins in a ruddy brass/copper, 53 in a tarnished silver, 50 in a shiny gold (not perfectly applied, sure to wear with handling, but very bright and appropriate to the price point), and 50 in a similarly shiny silver; so, almost exactly 50/50 'bright' vs. 'antique,' at the 200 coin level. If you don't mind that split, these are excellent for use as party favors, tokens, chips, markers, or my chosen use: as replacements for cardboard coins and paper money in tabletop games. Having four separate types is actually especially great for this last purpose, but the antique gold and antique silver are very hard to distinguish. Nonetheless, if I need more, these are definitely the coins I'd buy, far and above dedicated products which are much more expensive and often seem implausibly detailed.

Ordered 200 coins in an equal mix between four types, and received precisely that - 50 each of the gold, silver, tarnished gold, and tarnished silver coins. What more could one ask?The coins are light weight, but certainly seem sturdy enough, and having enough of them together still gives you a good feeling of heft. While they do all have the same shape, the irregularity of that shape means that it takes some effort to get them to line up, so it isn't immediately obvious that that's the case (good news if you're concerned about "realism" with them). 200 coins is still a pretty compact collection if you stack them optimally (think of coin rolls with 40-50 coins in them each - can easily hold 200 in your hand), but if you mix them up in a bag or a small chest, they'll definitely take up enough space to feel like a real treasure.As a side note, the tarnished gold and tarnished silver coins are close enough in appearance that one can pretty readily mistake them for being the same in bad light, but placed side by side or with a good light, there isn't any issue telling them apart.

I am very thrilled with this purchase I originally found the exact same product in a comic book shop for $0.40 a piece this was a far better deal for a fantastic product! I received 50 Gold 50 Silver and 100 tarnished pieces which was the ideal distribution for me as I use them in larps and RP's and use the tarnished pieces as copper. The weight was perfect they are light enough and just small enough that carrying all 200 in a satchel isn't a big deal but also heavy enough that they have a very realistic feel to them and they make a beautiful jingle and clink! I will definitely be buying more I plan to have thousands of these coins!The coins are around the size of a nickel which is fine slightly smaller than advertised but that just suited me better (I already knew the size when I purchased.)I have prime so these came very quickly and I am extremely satisfied! The packaging was also ideal the bags were triple bagged and everything was in tact and in perfect condition!
