Book was great and worked for class!

Wish all school administration and new teachers would read this book. This is a great help for me as a parent understanding the diagnosis given to my child and is useful in advocating for needs.

I had to buy this book for graduate school. As a Special Education teacher, I refer to it often. It provides great data based insight.

One of the best textbooks I’ve read for my course work. Clear and to the point, with sufficient information to provide a strong introductory understanding to many topics related to special education.

I'm using this book for a special education course, and it's very clearly written with quite a lot of interesting and useful information. Neurology is covered enough to explain key biological bases for practices in special education, and after understanding the scientific information behind different types of learning, specific strategies are explored. Every once in a while the author slipped in a personal opinion that I thought wasn't called for (he had an odd moment, in passing, of seeming to blame hip-hop music for problems with youth today - I didn't find it funny at all and I'm not sure what the intent was there), but I've only noticed one moment like that. Overall, it's been readable, informative, and helpful. It arrived promptly in great condition as well.And for those wondering about the moment I objected to, it's on page 21.

I had to buy this for a college course-much better than expected. Useful information.
