The Best of Sade

The first song I ever heard of Sade was Smooth Operator! And yet didn’t knew her name yet. There was a time in my life, when I love a song and didn’t care about who sang it. Years later down the road, I find out her name to another song I loved, Sade! And I got to get this collection because she’s amazing, great voice, beautiful melancholic songs. The vinyl came well packaged, delivered fast, zero damages, but I was very impressed with the sound quality! If something I can said to any new vinyl lover, is, easy with the stylus, lower it gently! In general this is vinyl any vinyl collector needs to have in their collection.

I already have most of Sade's albums on vinyl and augmented on CD. I originally would only purchase the vinyl versions since I am a longtime vinyl listener, not necessarily an audiophile. However, I started with vinyl when that was all you could get in many cases so that what's I usually go with. Through the years, I've dabbled with 8track, cassettes and CDs, but nothing replaces vinyl for me. I also like CD's and digital recordings for their convenience and some are just better than listening the vinyl versions in my opinion. I decided to go the CD and digital route for this album since the vinyl version wasn't available at the time of my purchase and the price was more than reasonable for these versions. I already have all the songs on this album distributed across several older vinyl cuts of Sade's music so I think I'll survive. I can only speak for the CD and digital versions and as far as I am concerned they exude in Sade's unique, hypnotic and soul-piercing style. Since I love all of her music, I wouldn't personally call this "The Best of Sade", it's just an awesome compilation of her music. A nice addition to any existing Sade collection or a great album to start with if you're a first time Sade listener.

I really just bought this for Smoother Operator but was pleasantly surprised that there were 3 other songs that I liked that I had heard on the radio (and didn't know it was Sade). Most of the CD is very good. There are only a couple of tracks that I skip.

I play it everytime in my car.
