Strang is an incredible teacher
This text is well organized with examples and Problem Sets. Don't forget to download the instructor guides, which have the solutions if you are working through this text on your own.

Only for in-depth understanding - not a quick guide
**I wanted to get this book to refresh my knowledge. I have finished reading four chapters. This review is based on first four chapters - I will update once I finish the whole book**This book is not a quick reference, but a regular text book. So, if you are looking to refresh your knowledge or do an in-depth learning, it will be an excellent source. On the other hand, if you just want to gain some basic concepts in little time, this is definitely not the book you need. Also, this book alone may not be super clear if you are new to linear algebra - you will probably need to consult Prof. Strang's video lectures.I don't know if his writing style is same in his other linear algebra book, but in this book it seems like he is talking to you and trying to think you through - which I really like. Another thing I liked is that exercise questions are not at the end of chapters, but at the end of each section within a chapter.

Unsuitable for beginners and non-math majors
I am a professor of mathematics and life-long fan of Gilbert Strang, who is rightly famous for both his research and his teaching/books. So I was pleased that my daughter was assigned this book for her Linear Algebra class (non-math majors). However, the book was completely unusable, is unattractive to look at, and even the lecturer did not assign much from it. I was shocked, as I still have Strang's `Intro to Applied Math` on my shelf and as his earlier higher-level Linear Algebra books were great. But this one reads and looks as if someone emptied a suitcase full of latex fragments into a bucket and stirred. I don't understand why Strang gave it this name, which is entirely inappropriate. Currently trying to sell it as a used book, practically new.

Para começar a entender Álgebra Linear
Eu utilizo Álgebra Linear com frequência em minhas pesquisas. Assim, um livro básico e didático como esse me interessa bastante.

A refreshing way to learn and remember linear algebra
Reading Prof. Gilbert Strang's new book is humbling. The book was written during the lockdown."Life was limited but time for writing was nearly unlimited. Difficult for our society but perfect for an author" he said.He really put some love in this subject and the text could not be clearer and simpler. Plus, he created a new way to teach Linear Algebra so that everyone can learn it faster.I love the way he stressed the 5 matrix factorizations as a good way to organize and remember linear algebra. Then, he went on with a preview of the episodes by introducing the matrices we'll meet in each episode as if they were TV series characters.Excellent read!

I needed to understand the process through comprehended the details of Linear Algebra.
This book together with Professor Gilbert Strang,s Fifth edition of his Introduction to Linear Algebra and the 37 video Lectures are brilliant. You need determination and a strong will but you truly understand the beauty of this branch of mathematics. A great purchase and ii has helped me in my 95th year to cope with these periods of lock down.

Very satisfied
I am very satisfied with the timely delivery of the book in the condition mentioned in the brief. The book is an excellent reference to Linear Algebra. However, for those who don't have good high school level mathematical skills, I would recommend Linear Algebra (Step by Step) by Kuldeep Singh.
