Great Metal Sound
It has a great metal sound providing you go into your amp through the return loop and avoid passing through the preamp. The problem is the preamp is designed to amplify the sound of clean guitar strings, but the sound coming from this pedal is very different then the sound of clean strings so the preamp ends up amplifying undesirable freguencies leading to a buzy sound.

Purchased this ‘updated/upgraded’ new version of the metal zone as I loved the original dispute it’s odd reputation.This sounds great. Chunky sound than the original so sounds more modern.Holds its own next to my Amptweaker full metal pro pedal which is amazing.
