GGG0024 Black Xbox 360 Replacement Thumbsticks (4 Pack) Plus Torx T8 Security Screwdriver L Key Replace Your Controller Joystick

Global Game Gear Black thumb sticks purchased 3/7/13 delivered 3/15/13 I own 4 360 controllers, 2 of them had worn black joysticks. I also recently started to use FPS Freek by KontrolFreek (Ultra) thumb extenders and loved them. The problem is that my sticks were so worn out that the FPS thumb extenders were actually making the rubber come off in chunks (some controllers are as old as from the 2005 360 launch) Either way I needed new sticks for the controllers. I found the Global Game gear sticks and saw good reviews so I ordered them, they arrived within the time specified and came with a Torque 8 Star screwdriver. Taking the controller apart was easy. My only problem is that the FPS control freak extenders do not fit as tightly on the Global gear sticks as they did on the original Microsoft sticks. The grip is firm but I can rotate the thumb extenders if I twist them, they did not do that with the original Microsoft Sticks. I ended up inserting some tissue paper on the cap of the Global stick so the FPS Freek had a tighter hold, that worked perfect. Also on 1 controller the Global Game Thumbstick on the left would stick abit. I rotated it for 20 seconds and now it feels fine, just had to break it in I guess. I included photos. Pros: * Look and feels just like the original MS joysticks. * Easy to install and made my controllers look like new. Cons: * FPS Control Freak extenders do not grip these sticks as tightly, can be easily fixed with some tissue paper to increase the tension * You may need to rotate the new sticks a few times to break them in so that the sticks return to the center position when released. Bottom Line: Well worth the money and my controllers feel like new. Will purchase again if the new sticks ever wear out in the future. Currently these sticks are less than 5$ so YOU CAN'T GO WRONG! if you have worn out sticks Get THEM!

Great replacement thumb sticks! Replaced two controller sets and they work great. Saw them off a YouTube video and purchased them for their quality.

Works, no issues, good value, relatively easy to use

These fit great, feel sturdy, and have the rubberized thumbpads very similar to what is on the original first party controller. A perfect replacement stick for the 360 gamepad. Image: New sticks installed in the 360 gamepad and the old, nearly worn bald, sticks to the side. Installation is relatively simple, and this package even included a sufficient screwdriver if you don't have one already. Reassembly is a little more annoying as you need to balance the rumble's eccentric motors and the buttons on opposite halves of the frame as you snap everything together. It's fiddly, but doable. I took the opportunity while the controller was disassembled to clean its individual parts before installing these new sticks. Upon reassembly, the controller felt like new. That goes a long way to making these older games more comfortable to play. The new sticks being a highlight.

I purchased these thumbstick caps for my Hyperkin Xenon replica of the 360 controller. They fit perfectly and feel just like the OEM sticks, and are shorter than the Xenon stock sticks. It also came with an extra pair for whenever they wear out.

I like this little kit. It was under ten bucks and fixed 2 controllers. My daughter had chewed on the thumbsticks on my controllers and I had no idea how to fix it. This gives you a basic T8 torx with the center hols cut out so you can use it to repair with the tamper evident screws.(Those are the ones with the pin in the middle so your other set of torx wont work) It comes with two black thumbsticks and the screwdriver. Was easy to pop the controller open and swap the thumbsticks once you know how. I looked on youtube and there was enough videos i could have watched for weeks. The only thing you need to look for is the hidden screw underneath the serial number. I tore apart 4 of my controllers and swapped parts to make them all unique and even watched some videos and painted one. The screwdriver is a bit worn and gets a bit irritating because of no grip. If you plan on doing this often as more than a 2-3 times fix buy a better screwdriver. This set gave me the basic tool I needed and was not a ton of cash. Thanks a lot.

Works really good and easy to install. I have a xbox 360 controller that i use to play pc games with, amd I didn't want to buy a new controller so i bought this instead. Works great 100% recommended

I got a 4-pack of the control sticks including the L-shaped tool to open the Xbox 360 controller. I bought these to replace the stock control sticks on my controllers that have damaged rubber from younger kids' teeth and older kids' fingernails. After removing all 7 screws from the back of the controller (note the 7th screw is hidden beneath a sticker in the battery compartment), it was a simple matter to separate the case and remove the existing sticks. The new sticks seemed to fit perfectly in place. After reassembly, I noted one stick was leaning left - it didn't snap back to center position right away when manipulated. I spent about 60 seconds moving both sticks around in all directions to break them in a little bit, and after that they behaved perfectly and snapped back to center just like the stock control sticks did. I am very pleased and would buy again if I have the need. Recommended!
