Great skates for a beginning recreational skater!
My daughter loves these for skating at the lake. They have good support and are warm. They seem to run true to size to maybe slightly snug. If you are planning on wearing a thicker sock I recommend sizing up. We did have to have them sharpened but that was only $7. Overall very pleased with these as her first pair of skates!

Great skates for beginners
These skates are great for beginner skaters. My son just finished his first set of ice skating classes and loves the sport, but we were tired of the variability of the rental skates and decided to buy him his own. The price point was excellent, and the skates are wonderful quality. They have Velcro buckles at the top as well as one set of hooks to tighten the laces. Good ankle support! For anyone new to the sport, these do need to be sharpened before the first use! Overall, highly recommend.

Well made! Order larger size.
Granddaughter loves these!! Ordered her regular size and they fit her but wanted her to be able to wear thicker socks so I went up 2 sizes and they are working great for her.

Great Skates!
My son has had his skates for a month now and they are wonderful and I recommend having them sharpened after a couple of weeks. Nice quality and he uses them for private lessons, team and skates 3 days a week for hours and they are perfect. I chose his shoe size and they are perfect!

Not as pictured, but still good
Not as pictured. it came with velcro only, no laces. Still as a beginner skater, it is not so big of a deal. Great fit and easy to put on / get off. Good material.
