Is it perfect? No. Does it work as advertised? Pretty much. Here's the thing; for the few bucks you're shelling out for this, it's never going to keep the fizz in indefinitely. Even with a PERFECT seal, assuming you've emptied half the can, that empty space is going to absorb some of the fizz that is left in the soda. It simply will not be "like new" when you go back to finish the can. The lid by itself works fine SHORT TERM. But eventually that fix is going to escape. What I do is grab a slice of plastic wrap and put that over the can first, then cap it with the lid and you've got an airtight seal. Done like this, the fizz will still be there days later.

Highly recommend! It's hard for me to drink a whole can of soda or my lovely sparkling water and I used to just put them in the fridge and of course they will go flat. They would also absorb other food smells from within the refrigerator.Since I got these my open drinks from the fridge now smell fresh and new, like when you first open them and the bubbles absolutely last far longer. I don't know that I need this many but I think with a big family I certainly would. I think it's brilliant that they made them different colors because that's the perfect way to differentiate different family member’s drinks.

This lid does what it's supposed to - keeping your opened can from having a major spill and keeping stuff out of it. Is it liquid tight? No, but it doesn't claim to be. If you knock the can over, it will keep it from spilling, but if it's upside down or on it's side for a longer period, it will leak a little. Some people complained that it didn't keep the carbonated drink fizzy for a long period. Again, not supposed to. No lid is going to do that. Once a can is open, the carbonation is going to last only so long (even in bottles that have screw on lids). Let's be reasonable in our expectations. I use these lids to cover a can I'm using for mixed drinks until I'm ready to make my next one or to cover a drink for a relatively short period of time. The 8 pack came with an assortment of colors, but some of the colors were duplicated. So don't expect 8 different colors.

We used these on our last camping trip and they worked out perfectly. We keep a small refrigerator outside the camper for drinks. I put these lids in a plastic jar that we keep in the refrigerator. They fit the cans (especially coke) very well, snap into place. I didn't expect them to keep the "fizz" overnight, that's a bit un-realistic, but they kept it fresh over the time I need to finish the drink. We especially enjoyed sitting around the campfire and knowing that when we popped the cap and took a drink we wouldn't swallow anything un-wanted. Bought a second set for the boat. One year on the boat MJL took a drink of her soda and there was a bee inside, it stung the inside of her cheek - so she loves these caps!

Keeps the fizz in a can of soda once opened, for several days. Great when the day is over and you have a part of a can left. Note: these fit the standard 12 oz. (or 16 oz. tall boy) aluminum beverage cans, but would not fit those newer style ones (where it's a 12 oz. container but as tall as the older 16 oz. tall boy). Bright and colorful, makes it easy to remember which one was used and which ones not. Dishwasher safe too (not using heated drying).

Solved the problem of partially consumed and wasteful cans of pop. Fits tight enough to retain most of the fizz, while keeping out stray odors/tastes from the fridge. Go on or off easily enough. You wouldn't want it to go on too hard, because it would start bending the middle of the can. The variety of colors is excellent, because different guests can keep track of which can is theirs. I haven't tried these outdoors, but I bet they're useful for keeping wasps from being attracted to your can (always an annoyance and possible sting risk).

Works great for soda cans and small juice cans. As noted on another review, will not contain the fizz of carbonated beverages UNLESS you grab a piece of saranwrap (the plastic that was covering the last bunch of vegetable you bought will do as well) and place it between the can and the can lid. I find that keeps the fizz in just fine for at least a day or two. I recommend this product.

They are American made, they fit snug, they save spills from quick tip overs, if you upright them right away, I wouldn't let them stay tipped as some might leak out of course, I have slowly turned one upside down and back to test, no leak. They hold up to machine and hand washing without losing shape, which is super and a sign of great quality. They work on standard size energy drink cans and regular pop cans (16 oz and 12 oz).

Quality is fine, but they don't preserve the fiss like a screw-on bottle top does. I opened two cans of soda water to test. Put a lid on one and left the other open. Both went flat at the same rate. I think they don't fit tightly enough.Save your money. A piece of plastic wrap and an elastic probably works just as well.

Coming back a while after ordering these. They're holding up perfectly, and do exactly what I'd hoped. They fit easily on most cans, just a quick snap on, and they come back off easily. They keep soda fizzy and prevent spills if the can is tipped. Even my husband likes them, and he's about fed up with all the kitchen gadgets I constantly order. =)
