You Call This the Future?: The Greatest Inventions Sci-Fi Imagined and Science Promised

Fun to read; only wish this book had been longer, as there must be many more examples of "futuristic" sci-fi inventions that did actually show up in the real world. Very easy to read.

As both a scientist and a science fiction fan, I was quite taken with Nick Sagan's new book. He clearly, yet critically, reviewed many of science fiction's (both written and video formats) predictions about the future, and he described how reality had followed those predictions or had taken a completely different turn. I would recommend this book for any "futurist" who wants to see what the world does -- and could -- look like.
