Great book for counselling skills
If you are currently studying counselling or wanting to read upon for similar helping roles, this is a great book. This includes everything you will learn throughout a counselling course in good depth. Easy to follow, well written. Highly recommend.

Great foundation for counselling skills training
I've bought this book ahead of studying Level 3 Counselling this coming September. I'm also a psychology and counselling student in the final year of my degree. This book is so well written, in everyday language and has thought provoking activities to complete as you go along. It's got me really hyped for starting my counselling training. I can't wait!

Good companion to Level 2 and 3 counselling training
This is the CPCAB approved reference for counselling skills training at Levels 2 and 3. It covers the ground pretty well and is written in a fairly friendly, conversational style. Occasionally this can feel a little clunky but all the information is there. I'd like it more if there was a section on transactional analysis, but that is a bit of a pet "like" of mine. I just think TA is sufficiently useful and interesting to justify a few pages rather than one section of a table, but there you go. The book also has some useful tips on studying, writing learning reviews etc which will be handy for those like me who are working their way through the CPCAB CSK-2 and CSK-3 courses.
