Premium ruler
It's a well made premium slim ruler. The folding mechanism works well. A snappy mechanism to lock the angle would have been a good addition to make angle measurement more accurate.

Was sent plastic version when I paid for the aluminium ruler!!
It's plastic, when the listing is for an aluminium ruler! In the second photo you can clearly see on the back of the packaging that the wrong barcode for this item has been stuck on… the sticker is for an aluminium ruler, while the item is plastic.

A lovely ruler with a gimmick that falls just short.
This, for me, was a luxury buy, an example of the Japanese knack of producing everyday objects that ooze elegance and desirability. It is small and bijou, and it opens and folds convincingly and reassuringly, suggesting that it will last well in use. Angle accuracy is pretty good, but the gradations on the hinge-ring are difficult to read and hard to accurately set due to the small scaling. I purchased the black variant and the etched white markings on the rule are easily read.I like this little ruler a lot. Using it makes me smile inwardly. I certainly do not regret my purchase as it oozes style beyond it's function, but the angle element falls short as I would not trust it as a standalone to provide me with a trustworthy angle.

Nice little ruler
It’s very handy for keeping with a sketchbook — I’ve used it to figure out the pitch of a roof of a church I was sketching, as well as the usual straight lines. It’s sturdy enough when closed, you need to be careful not to bend it when it’s open, but it’s not super-flimsy or anything. It’s really nicely made and finished, and it’s accurate — because Amazon asked I put my (expensive) callipers on it — it’s as good as dead-on. :)It’s a lovely little thing.

Expensive ruler but worth it for the quality!
I was on the hunt for a sturdy 30cm ruler I could make use of everyday and came across this ruler. the design aesthetic is perfect for me (minimal) and the build quality is superior to many other brands/rulers out there. It is expensive but is worth the investment if you want to upgrade your pencil case contents like I have.

It's not just a ruler
It is a gorgeous ruler with a really fun feature on the hinge. It has the degrees, so you can open it at 45 degrees and voilá, easy to draw. I wish it also had 60 degrees, but then the print would be too small.edit: I now own a black one too as my silver one was appropriated by my daughter.
