Great toy, well designed and a lot of fun but...
My son loves Super Wings TV show and these toys are great. He has all 12 of the Super Wing 5". Some of them are easier to transform then others. They are very realistic to the show characters and are good quality. The arms do come off easy, the legs not as much but they do go back on very easy. This is part of the design to keep them as realistic to the show as possible. If you or your child is the type to lose or misplace things keep that in mind as these toys might not be for you. Also, my son 2.5 years old and can not transform them himself. My wife and I play with him all the time and help him, so if you do not spend a lot of time with your child these toys might frustrate the kid.Donnie is average to transform

Excellent quality. Favorite birthday gift
My 2 yr old son LOVES this!! He can transform him himself. It is super sturdy and well-made.He threw it in the pool during his sister’s swim lesson, then jumped in after it. That was a disaster, as that meant I had to go in too to save his life. BUT I’ll have you know, that even though my clothes, and his clothes didn’t come out as if nothing had happened, Donny did. It doesn’t have stickers to ruin, its all painted on with quality paint. If anything, the swim did Donny some favors getting him clean. My son insists on having him in his high chair WITH him as he eats, and he even tries to feed Donny at times. I guess Donny needed a bath haha! I sure didn’t though. This toy is a best friend and has held up as such. The arms do pop off easily, as others have mentioned. But they also go back on as easily as they came off. Only worry is that they might get lost.We also own Jet from the same company, who is just as great of quality, just a tad more difficult to transform. Jet may be the main character, but Donny quickly became the favorite toy he owns somehow.

Good Size for Small Hands, Good Quality
UPDATE: We've now owned this toy for over a year and it is still a favorite, both of the now-3yo and his 6yo and 7yo brothers. They have popped the legs and arms off many, many times, but they still go back in. It's withstood hours upon hours of play, being thrown, dropped, and stepped on, and is still intact.I bought this to use on top of my 2-year-old's birthday cake and it was the perfect size to top a 9" round cake. It quickly became his favorite toy and he's played with it pretty much every day for the last 6 weeks - it's been dropped, thrown, and knocked off the bed in the middle of the night. He can't quite transform Donnie from plane to "robot" himself, so the arms have been popped off a few times, but they pop right back on and still function just fine. If you're worried about a toddler who still puts things in his/her mouth, I would probably skip this because the arms are able to come off like that, but if your little one is past that stage, I think it's a great size for small hands and sturdily made.My older two (5 and 6) are able to transform it without help.

Nicely designed transforming airplane/robot toy
Got this for my 5 year old as a 'graduation' from pre-school gift. He has been watching Super Wings Series 1 avidly for a couple of weeks and Donnie is his favorite character, partly because yellow is his favorite color, and partly because Donnie is the builder/engineer.5" tall with the legs extended, 2.5" when folded up. To get the legs out push the tail down and they pop right out. There's just enough mechanical transforming to make my son happy, without it being too complex. In airplane mode there are three small fold down wheels for landing. This seems as robust as I would expect for a 5" plastic toy that cost around $10. It woudl certainly take some effort to break parts off.The only problem is we didn't get something for our nearly 3 year old at the same time, so there were a few tantrums. Lesson learned, and we have a Paul on order to arrive in a couple of days for him.

A fun toy
Its a great toy, well made and fun to play with. Only thing is it can't stand up to a 2 year old. My child ripped off the arms and the propeller within the first week. There is no problem with the toy. The problem is with my destructive little monster. Maybe when she is 3 I will get her another one.

Use the tail
I'm ashamed to say how long it took my toddler, and myself, to figure out how to get the legs down for Donnie and Dizzy - just push their tails down *sigh*.Overall, good quality. My son is 2.5, loves them, and is able to fully transform them back and forth.
