I've been using this bento for a month and so far it has been awesome! Total capacity is about 1L per instruction manual, and there is definitely enough room to pack lunch for an adult.I never put them in microwave just because I am skeptical about microwaving plastic. And I use hand washing instead of dish washer. But according to the manual it should be okay to use in microwave & dishwasher.I got two colors - black and litchi (light baby pink). With the light color one, you definitely need to watch out for dark color sauce like ketchup, curry, spaghetti, especially heating up with the sauce could cause the inside of bento box to change color. But with the black one there is no such issue.When put oily food in it, it's a little harder to clean, just like any other plastic container. But with the help of kitchen napkins, it's really not that difficult.I purchased the monbento bag. It fits well, with a little extra room for utensils and napkins after you put the bento in. The bag can also protect bento box from hitting your other stuffs in the backpack or office bag causing the outside layer to peel off. But of course any bag would work. It is air tight, and fits in monbento perfectly. I put soy sauce in the cup and it doesn't leak at all. The box was a bit hard to open. You just have to slide your nail under the lid and it will pop right open. The box came with a little cup, the lid had a rubber around it to prevent spilling. The box feels pretty light, it has a matte finish which makes it appear very stylish.I decided to experiment with the monbento box. I poured water in the container and sealed it with the lid. It had little droplets forming at the sides of the box, but that was my mistake. I didn't pushed down hard enough for the lid to seal the box. Second attempt, to my Surprise there was no leakage at all. It's very easy to clean. Everything was in perfect condition. It even arrived a week early. I am certainly impressed by this monbento box. Even though this box is a little pricey, but still worth the money. I really recommend this box to everyone.Tip: Check if you've sealed the box properly. If you want no leakage. Push the lid down hard and check on all sides if it's sealed up correctly

I have been wanting to buy a bento for a long time and I finally gave in. I purchased the black version and I absolutely love it. I pack my lunch every day, and could not be happier. This is a perfect amount of food and it stays the perfect temperature. I am in high school, so by the time I go to lunch, I'm pretty hungry. I put the box in a normal lunch bag and put a large ice pack in with it. By lunch, my food is still chilled. I have a friend that also packs a more traditional bento and she doesn't use an ice pack and has never had any problems, so an ice pack isn't necessary, I just liked food to be cold.Like I said before, the size is perfect for me. I divide my food in square silicon cupcake holders, because I don't like my food to touch, especially if something has a sauce on it. You can fit even more food if you don't use any dividers. The two compartments fit easily on each other, and I can fit my fork, spoon and knife in the space between the lid and the compartment below.At first, I thought that the lids were difficult to remove, but my brother showed me a way to easily get them off. The lids have a protruding notch in the middle;do not try to open the container from this, it is really hard. Instead, you can insert your fingernails between the lid and container near the corner. If you lightly pull up, it comes right off.I have had my box for a few months now and it is still in really good shape. I am pretty rough with it, but there are no scratches on the outside or inside. The elastic band is still firmly holds everything together, and I haven't stained it at all. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this product and I'm even going to buy another one in a different color. I recommend this to everyone.

Got it as a gift for my girlfriend and she loved it!Excellent quality, durable, matte plastic material and gorgeous and adorable pink color in addition to the strawberry design.The band is super tight and strong and keeps it together. Although I did have to double wrap it for when she would only bring one level of the box to work, so that was a bit annoying, since she doesn't eat enough food to fill up both compartments. I started putting an ice pack in one of the boxes to fix the problem, so it keeps it cold and utilizes both at once.I thought it would include small chopsticks or a small spoon/fork in the top chamber but it didn't. Would have been nice if the small utensil chamber was a little bigger to accommodate for larger utensils since it didn't include mini-size utensils or has little grooves you can pop chopsticks into. I solved this problem by slipping the utensils in between the box and the band on the outside, although it makes the utensil compartment kind of useless.Lastly, although it is easy to clean and the plastic is very good quality, if you have food that can stain clothing easily, it will probably also stain the bento box. So stay away from curry, since that's how I learned my lesson. It's got a bright neon yellow spot that I couldn't scrub off and I'm still trying to figure out a way to get rid of the stain. I'm not sure if bleach will be effective. If there is any way to get rid of stains for this type of plastic, please let me know. It's very well designed and functions well but it's such a bummer to have it stained within its first week of use.
