Amazing hat, I didn’t expect to love it as much. Double rolled is a watch cap, or regular beanie etc. Color muted and delicate yet bright and fresh. Soft enough, feels like regular alpaca wool or maybe all alpaca stuff i ever got was rigged)) Unlike other wools, alpaca clothes haven’t ever shrunk🤷‍♂️ Didn’t laundry this hat yet, but it won’t need the wash too soon.UPDATE: Order the beige hat as a second one, and it came in a plastic bag for returns, feel is completely different than the first one I purchased, color is a bit off. This is definitely not the same “wool” blend as I was expecting. Somebody returned it before, I will also return it.

At 10°F felt warm. Not itchy at all. Recommended.

Warm and soft, not itchy at all since it's Alpaca wool. Amazon's photo is exactly how it looks; I love the blue color! Size runs a bit on the small size, so go up one size from you usually wear.

I automatically discount reviews that state “I got it as a gift for so-and-so, and they loved it!” How do you know they loved it? Were they just being polite?So, I got this hat as a gift for my mother. She knows a lot about textiles and weaving. She is also very polite and generally says thank-you, even if the gift is headed for a closet. Initially, my brother told me the hat arrived and mom liked it. No big surprise. However, the proof was: Mom was WEARING the hat in cold weather. Like, daily if she went outdoors. I can’t say how well it fits or any other qualities, but if my picky, textile-expert mother liked this hat, it must have something going for it. If they came in more manly colors, I would have ordered one for myself.
