This is great for anyone who uses a lot of plastic canvas

If you are buying this to stiffen up the bottom of a bag, It's fine. It is stiffer than regular canvas. If you are going to cover the entire surface with stitching it's fine, but it isn't the quality I expected. That is irritating because I paid more for the brand name I trusted.I have tried to photograph the problems areas. Every sheet has several places where a thin layer of plastic leaked from the mold and covers the spaces that should be blank. It was hard to photograph because it is very thin; the picture makes it look thicker than it really is. You don't even notice it when you punch a needle through it and yarn pulls through easily, but if your canvas is going to show anywhere, it is unsightly. The second picture is of a little glob of plastic stuck to the canvas. In a package of 12 sheets, there was one little glob on each of 4 sheets. 3 popped off easily when scraped with a fingernail; only 1 required cutting off with a razor knife. A third problem I did not photograph was a tiny hole in only 1 of the sheets of canvas, possibly where one of the globs broke off taking a bit of canvas with it. In addition to these few globs, the canvas is not completely smooth, but has several tiny bumps (some feel sharp enough to catch on things) which are too small to catch with the camera, but you can feel them with your hand.After cutting around the hole, annoyed at losing some canvas, I checked the brand of the canvas and saw that the label does not say Darice. I decided to return it for misinformation, but then I saw that on the little hanging tab, it does say Darice. You can see that in the last photo, though the label is on the back of the canvas so you are seeing the back side of the tab.This led me to do a little research. At first I thought the company on the label must have bought seconds and be selling them, but they are a plastic molding company so I assume they are making it. Looking further, I found that Michaels bought Darice in 2016 and closed it down in 2020. Though the article did not say, perhaps they sold the name rights to Zehrco-Giancola (the name on the label).Whatever the reason, I guess I cannot trust Darice plastic canvas to be as perfect as it was and I don't guess it makes any difference who you buy it from.

This is my go to company for plastic canvas. They're sturdy and I don't have to worry about anything falling apart because it's too flimsy. Have been using this brand for years. If it ain't broke don't fix it LOL
