Very good purchase. The tripod is sturdy and can handle a lot of weight. I had my camera, monitor, mic, 2 flashes attached on a rig and the tripod was up to the challenge, not to mention the tripod head that is felxible enough to move around with all the weight on! Great value for money and reliable product.

I know that there's some better quality tripods out there but for the price you pay for this its a steal. Basically I was not sure if to buy this or the gorillapod so decided to go with this one as it was cheaper. Its a good quality but a heavy one also so you have to keep that in mind.

This tripod is awesome! Very sturdy, it's, especially for this price, very high quality. When folded, small enough to fit in my camerabag.

I bought this mini-tripod to position my Sony camcorder on my desk for video conferencing. The camcorder weighs over 6 lb and has a long body, with much of the weight in the lens, so it requires solid and stable support. Besides, because of the way I stand at my desk, I wanted to be able to quickly change the position of the camcorder: the angle as well as the height (between 10” above the desk and 18”).This tripod turned out to be excellent for my purpose. Each segment of its telescoping legs can be adjusted in infinite increments, independently of each other. You release and tighten the telescoping mechanism by rotating/twisting the leg, which is why you don’t see any clamps in the photos. The three legs can be spread out equally, which is what you normally do on a level surface if you need a level position for the camera—but each leg can also be positioned at its own angle, giving you infinite flexibility in the camcorder angled position. By releasing a catch at the top of each leg you can even spread them all the way out to almost a horizontal position, again each leg independently of the other legs.The center column, which is removable and can probably be replaced with a longer one (though I didi not explore this) can be moved up and down, giving you an additional range of height values of about 3 inches (more if you find a way to replace it with a longer column), again in infinitely small increments.The tripod is made with excellent precision, all parts are metal, it is light-weight and elegant.As an unexpected but very fine feature you see only in top-of-the-line tripods, the top platform has notches for noting the position of the camera as you rotate it 360 degrees in the horizontal plane. So if you have found, for example, a few precise positions that you want to return to quickly, you can note down the number of degrees, from 0 to 360, and position the camera correctly without looking in the viewfinder.All around this is a great piece of equipment. I am not associated with the manufacturer or vendor and was not asked to write this review. But since I went through several other table stands and tripods for my purpose that were all lacking in some ways, I thought I should share my excitement for this one.
