I am a veteran paramedic and this looks like it will be near medical grade in quality
I bought this product for long hikes in the woods. I am a veteran paramedic and this looks like it will be near medical grade in quality. The cups seem like they might be too small for a large snake bite but you could alternate between puncture sites and get the job done. As far as the person making the comment that they could not get it back in the box after opening it. The pump folds up so it takes up less room in the kit and in your medical bag.

It really sucks, and that's good.
Quality. I haven't been bitten by a snake, but I did put it on a week old spider bite that was not healing. It didn't pull any venom out, as it was way past that, but man did that thing have suction power. I had to pry it off my arm. I believe it would be useful if I run into some more copperheads like a did a few weeks ago. Nice size and weight to put in your first aid kit.

Great idea for any gardener, camper, or beekeeper
Yesterday I was stung by 2 yellow jackets. I am very sensitive to them and the last 2 times I was stung my hand swelled to twice its normal size for days and required a trip to the doctor's office for a steroid injection. Yesterday after using the device I had no swelling of my hand and only localized swelling of the sting on my leg. This morning saw a slightly larger swelling with rash on my leg (still a lot better than I would have expected otherwise) and still no swelling of my hand. The sting on my hand was itchy but a little antihistamine handled that. So grateful that this innovation has kept me out of the doctor's office this time around.I would have given 5 stars if I could tell a distinct difference every time, but there have been some honeybee stings (to which I am not as sensitive to as the yellow jackets) that I wasn't sure there was much reduction in the normal, localized reaction. Product also seems to be a little less effective on softer, fleshier areas. All in all though, better than nothing and very glad that I have it on hand.

It worked okay for a couple of weeks. No more suction. Lasted about a month
It worked okay for a couple of weeks. My grandson got stung by a bee on the arm. I applied the suction cup to the arm. There was a good seal from the cup to his arm but it was just sucking air. The unit itself is faulty. Seems like the seal in the unit was not working.Thank youCesare

My grandson (age 9) and his family enjoy camping. He saw something on poisonous snakes on the Discovery channel and became concerned. I suggested if he was prepared he would not worry so much. BUT do you know how hard it is to find a snake bite extraction kit.Yours was great and easy for him to use (if need be).So this kit became a part of the family first aid box and everyone is hapy. Thank you.
