These are great nightlights for anyone who doesn't want a "nightlight looking" bulb sticking out of their electric outlet! They are stylish and sleek, turn on immediately for power failure and are light activated so you don't have to remember to turn them on and off.In a floor receceptical situation, when on, the unit bathes the area beneath it with a soft reflective light - it is not harsh or glaring or right in your face. For example, i have one between my bedroom and bathroom and when i leave the bathroom to go to bed and shut off the bathroom light, this light turns on immediately lighting the floor on my way.The unit will rotate between horizontal and veritcal stance in your socket, so it is perfect for any electrical outlet. It is adjustable so you can have upper and lower lights or just lower.If you place this unit in the bottom receptical of your outlet, you still have the upper one for other electrical use.They have withstood the test of time and this purchase is actually a gift for my family who has asked for them. Mine have been in place for at least 2 years.

As I write this in 2020, I searched my orders to find this light to repurchase. I bought one originally in 2015 to use as a hallway night light and it has given me reliable lighting. I looking to buy two more units to use for home theatre lighting. These units feature up-down lighting which is hard to find for a combo night light and emergency lighting. There is a hi-low setting for the LED lights. Perfect for my use.

Something to keep in mind when purchasing these is that they are surprisingly big, so if you are looking for discrete... this isn't it.I can't say much to how useful they are. I tested them by unplugging them and they work, but my power so rarely goes out that I haven't been able to put them to real-world use.

Arrived covered in a sticky residue with dirt, hair and fibers all over it. Item arrived in a small unlabeled box (not in product packaging) it had no product or company information at all with it. Before returning it I plugged it in to decide weather I wanted to exchange or refund. It was a further disappointment as it was not at all as bright as I had hoped considering its size (big). I'll look for another product.

so many power failure lights are very dim.This one is BRIGHT and cute, too.I set mine to go on at dark and it makes iteasy to navigate at night.Highly recommended.

These are wonderful and work nicely as I have had to use them once already. You can take them out and carry around and can turn off and on like a flashlight. They come on instantly and give light to your room when the power goes out so you don't have to search for a flashlight. I highly recommend
