No. This is an sfx unit for use in sfx,matx,or atx (with adapter). The hp uses a special small form factor slim power supply. Unless hp offers a higher wattage supply. You are out of luck.

There is no light indicator for this power supply model. The way to tell if power supply is turned on is if the power supply fan spins or if your computer boots up after connecting all the cables correctly.

This is a question for the manufacturer, apevia. have you considered releasing a 500 watt sfx 80 plus bronze certified psu?

They make a 600W, that is barely more expensive than the 400W model
