This makes casual cell phone at home more comfortable.
My only real issue with this handset was the volume wouldn't be high enough in a noisy enviroment even with the volume on my phone set on full. The audio quality was fine. The low frequencies are cut in a way that sounds like it was designed to enhance mid-tones for voice use so expect music to sound phone-like. The base of the plug below the connector narrows a little so I was able to connect it through my silicone cover. The surface has a nice rubberized finish. The ear piece feels comfortable in my ear. I plan to use this for home use only as it doesn't feel that comfortable to me to hold a small tablet up to my ear. The radiation issue is pretty much nonsense though. Cell phones use upper UHF for their transmissions. Microwaves do not travel through any objects very good. A satelite dish which does use microwaves must have line of site to the satelite or the signal will be blocked. The ironic thing is that most microwave ovens also use upper UHF but at a much, much higher intensity. Strong VHF can also be dangerous. A cell phone operates at a decibell level lower than ambient television signals. It is very low. Your TV station is more likely to cause you brain damage than your cell phone. Since ambient TV station transmissions are low as well and there hasn't been any connection with television signals causing health problems, cell phones are pretty much safe as long as the lithium ion battery doesn't over heat and explode for some reason. You can use the included belt holder on the go if you wish, but people might mistake you for a telephone installer. It would of looked totally awesome in the eighties though.
