Good boots
Big and tall male here. Don't think I needed the wide fit. Looks great. Feels great. Not cat scratching proof.

Great for automotive technicians!
I'm giving these a 4/5 stars as they're great for what they are and they've held up quite nice so far. I've personally have never owned a pair of timberlands, I actually bought these by mistake while shopping for boots. I am a technician and I'm on my feet for the better half of 8 1/2 hours or so and my feet don't hurt at all during the day. They are definitely water proof as when I have to go get a vehicle from outside and it's pouring with puddles in our lot, my feet stay completely dry, I would definitely recommend these and I'll probably purchase them again in the future. Oh! The reason for the missing star is I know they're not labeled as slip resistant, but when they're wet, they do slip on a tile floor as well as a garage / shop floor. Other than that, they're fantastic.

Love these boots - 4th pair in 4 years!
I wear through boots quick. I wear them for work and work the hell out of them. This is the fourth pair of these boots I've gotten, and each has lasted me about a year before getting holes and the sole (and defeating the purpose of waterproof boots). No steel toe is a plus for me because I have to pass through metal detectors. The lace up hooks on the top are great for keeping the boot tight around my ankle, which is important for reducing wear on said ankle and less rubbing inside. They fit great with both athletic socks and wool socks (as I am out in the snow during winter) and keep my feet warm and dry.I have wide feet, and often destroy shoes faster than normal because of the width pushing outwards across the base of my toes when I walk. These weather that just fine - the damage always comes from too much wear on the sole and the glue eventually breaking down between the constant Hot/Cold during the winter.Still, when many boots I've bought have lasted less than 6 months in my job, these continue to serve well into the second year and that is well worth the price for me.

BEST BOOTS EVER!!!
I have tried many other brands, claiming comfort, fit etc. and i have found the brand I will use forever. It took less then a day to break them in, they are waterproof which is fantastic. Though I would plan on waterproofing them on a regular basis. They have great traction in mud and snow. No rub spots on the foot and are true to the size, I have a wide size 13 foot and these fit perfect with my arch support insert and wool socks I wear. You will not go wrong with Timberland.

switched brands
I use to always buy Danner brand boots , over 4 pairs in 10 years )only boot /shoe used )- the last pair lasted 6 months and fell apart , tried other brands not very good .. this has changed my thoughts and dollars on brand awareness , I will pay a expensive price only based on quality, once the brand changes to a cheaper design to save a few dollars to make , I change brands . so Far the quality on purchase and life on this brand is fair .
