Q: are they too big for 8 year old boy?

I got them for my 10 yr old grandson and they fit him good

Q: What size are those socks? Would they fit a 9-year old boy?

They are men’s sizes but they may still fit, will just be longer.

Q: are these for adults? the size guide says 18M but the description says mens socks.

They're very stretchy. I can't speak to how good they fit a child, but they stretch far enough to fit an adult mans feet as I got them for a gag gift for my buddy.
