When I first looked at the cup, I was disappointed. It looked like a plain black cup until my co-worker filled it with hot coffee! Absolutely gorgeous.

First one came to me broken and just in a plain brown box, but I was sent a replacement right away by amazon, The weird thing was the return actually came in a nice Harry Potter package like you would expect to find it if you bought it at Target or a like a gift shop, so I don’t know if I was originally sent someone’s return or something and they didn’t have the original packaging.That being said, the mug I ended up getting was pretty awesome. It’s got a lot of weight to it and it works! It was very cool seeing the mauraders map revealed right before your eyes. You definitely need hotter water than what you can get from your tap though, and mine gets pretty hot. I originally tried to test it out running the hottest water from my tap over it as well as filling it up and nothing. I thought I’d gotten a dud. Then I decided to test it out with water from my Keurig and voila! The magic happened.
