Really Awesome, Inexpensive Clippers that Preform Well Above expectations.
My husband had some clippers he had purchased from the PX where he was stationed at the time. The were corded and heavy and after like two months were not cutting well at all. Knowing what a difference good clippers makes in how hair turns out from my experience with my dad's Braun clippers I kept bugging hubby to let me get new ones. Finally he let me purchase new ones. Not being able to find good reviews on anything Braun similar to what I was used to I asked a friend who is a beautician what she used and she said Wahl, but she used a corded one. I went through the little thing on Wahl's website that tells you what they think is best for your needs and they gave me this one. I was a little worried about the battery issue, but that was completely unfounded. This is what I determined:Pros:~*~They have already paid for themselves. It would be like $13 every two weeks for my husband to get his hair cut/trimmed. We have had them about 3.5 months and used them roughly 7 times. That's around $91, but the clippers were less than $60 with tax.~*~I have charged the battery once, the first day I received them. I completely charged it and have not had to charge it yet. Not only has it held the extra charge for over three months, but it's made it through cutting my husband's thick hair 7 times. I did not expect that at all.~*~It comes with all the attachments you could ever need and more.~*~There is a pamphlet with pictures telling you, not only what each of the different attachments do, but how and when to use them. It also has a picture showing you where each cut level should be, how to know what number to use on each level, and how to blend the levels. This was AWESOME for me because I had never had any formal training.~*~ It comes with a little trimmer as well that is good for doing the back of the neck, or any small spaces the bigger clippers won't get to. I use it mainly when my hubby needs edges trimmed, but not a whole hair cut. I also find it helpful for around the ears (there is an attachment for the big clippers for around the ear, but it took me a while to get brave enough to experiment with it).~*~I've dropped it a couple times and it has survived.~*~It comes with a really awesome cloth case.~*~It has an apron for the "hair dresser". Some people commented that it didn't work well for keeping hair off of them while getting their hair cut, but in looking at it, it makes more sense that it is to keep the hair off of the person cutting the hair, and for that purpose it works very well.~*~They are really light and although other said they feel cheaply made, I don't think so. They balance well and are heavy enough to be comfortable, but not make your arm super tired.Cons:~*~The scissors included aren't very good, but I still gave it five stars because I didn't buy this for the scissors. I just use my Conair ones I got at Walgreens for under $10.~*~The small trimmers are battery powered. They take two AAs. I hate putting this under the con section, but some people would look at it as one. These have gotten a lot of use as well, are really powerful for the batteries that are in them, and are STILL going strong on the FIRST set of batteries, so I don't really see it being a problem.Over all, these are amazing for the price and I love them. I don't dread cutting my husband's hair anymore because it's not tedious. I would highly recommend these to anyone.Update (May): I let my sister borrow these to cut my brother's hair and she charged them "just in case". I guess I'll have o wait several more months to see how long they will last on one charge. I also went and got my hair cut and took my cousin (his haircut exceeded my abilities) and she also uses these clippers. She said she loves that they're cordless and that the charge will last around 8 hours. The small clippers are also still going strong and I have not yet replaced those batteries. Still loving them both.

It works very well for me!
Like so many people, I began cutting my own hair in May of 2020 due to sheltering in place. Finding a set of clippers at that time was very challenging as nearly all of the modestly prices ones were sold out. I managed to purchase an inexpensive Philips clipper and watched several YouTube videos on cutting my own hair. The Philips clipper is really more of a grooming set and is rather narrow but it worked well enough that I was satisfied with the cuts I was getting.I wanted to wait to return to having a stylist cut my until I felt it was reasonably safe but, after a few months, I realized it was far more convenient to cut my own hair than to have to schedule an appointment and go to a stylist. I keep my hair short and it's not that complicated to trim it so I decided just to keep cutting my own hair. Since I was going to be saving money by cutting my own hair, I decided to purchase a nicer clipper set. I had been reviewing the many options for a while when I decided I would purchase this Wahl Clipper Lithium Ion Cordless Haircutting & Trimming Combo Kit. (It was even on sale!)I really like this clipper. It comfortable in my hand, trims my hair cleanly (much more so than my Philips clipper) and has more accessories than I will ever need. (I only need a #2 and #3 guide comb but I use the brow trim guide, too.) I had to have a cordless model because I trim my hair outdoors and this one will run for two hours on a single charge. Since it only take about 15 minutes for me to trim my hair, I don't have to charge it often. I don't find it that noisy, as some have complained. It seems pretty normal for clippers. I really don't have any major complaints. The little trimmer works very well trimming my sideburn and cleaning up the back of my neck. (I don't mind using batteries for it.)The cons of this clipper is that it does require oiling the blades, since they are carbon steel and not stainless, but that isn't a big deal (I do woodworking as a hobby and I have to oil lots of tools so this is pretty normal) and, as some have said, the body of clipper is not very rugged. Since I'm only cutting my own hair with it and I only use it every two weeks, that's not a big issue for me. I'll just be careful not to drop it. (I'd be careful with that even if it was built like a tank.)All in all, I think it's an excellent set for the money and I'm very satisfied with mine.

Great hair clipping kit for the near bald man!
I am nearly bald with nothing on top and some hair on sides and back of my head. I use the Wahl cordless clipper and the Number 1 comb 1/8 to buzz my entire head. It is easy enough to do myself. I buzz my head every 2 weeks. So far I have had the kit for nearly 3 months and I am still on the first charge. For the money it cannot be beat. I have seen other comments concerning that the blade cannot be disassembled for cleaning. I just clean what I can and keep it oiled after every use. So far no problems but 3 months is not a good test. It does cut quick, even and does a great job. I am so glad I did not spend hundreds on a more professional clipper because this is the bomb and I am completely satisfied with it. The smaller trimmer that comes with the kit I use for side burns and around ears. The trimmer takes batteries, I can't remember if they are triple A or double A but they are still working for this 3 month period. Since both the clipper and the trimmer are cordless I wanted to make sure you knew that the power of both units is incredible. Don't fear not having enough juice power through the job. Units sound and act as though they're plugged into power. Not bad at all considering these are battery powered devices. Buy with confidence it works great! So why 4 stars and not five? The case sucks! All they had to do was put a piece of cardboard in the case walls to give it some form of rigidity and I would have given this kit 5 stars. The case flops around and sometimes (for me) the contents will fall out if not handled perfectly. Because the clipper and the trimmer are fairly heavy for such a flimsy case they fall to the floor. Luckily they are tough enough to survive a fall or two.
