Product is as described
It is hard to write a review on a fermenting product because things can go wrong with contamination. I made a large 5 gallon batch instead of a small starter batch to start but things are looking like a new scobyis forming , but it will take a month or to longer because of the different methods I used. the only thin i thought was weird about this product is that the website stated on the package is no longer active. but the expiration date was good , and for all evidence the scoby is viable .

Defective SCOBY
It's been three months and my SCOBY hasn't rehydrated. I followed all directions to a T and after the first 30 days the SCOBY didn't float or fluff up. I contacted customer care and they said that's normal, it could take a few batches. I made a few batches, about every 3 weeks so as to not overwhelm the SCOBY but it never fully revived and now there's mold. Customer care was very unhelpful this time and just said to throw it out and buy again. I'll be going with a different company this time.

They say to have it sit on the counter for at least one month so for now, I have nothing to say.
