These are very basic, but strip wire easily and without nicking it in the process. Even if you already have a good pair of strippers, this item would make a good quality backup at a low price.

These are my first stainless steel wire strippers after working in the electrical field for the past 5 years. I can never go back to standard steel wire strippers. We all know that stainless steel is incredibly hard and stays sharp which extends the life of these wire strippers. These are the longest lasting pair of wire strippers that i have ever owned. I work 5 days a week and use these to strip wires during commercial and residential upgrades and complete building rewire projects. I like the high visibility yellow handles which do not fall off like other brands. The bright yellow color means less chances of forgetting these in attics and crawlspaces. The built in 8/32 and 6/32 bolt cutters come in handy while adding cover plates to receptacles on granite and tile backsplashes. The curved and slighty round handles improves ergonomics and reduces fatige. The large number of stripping gauges allows this pair to be used for both low voltage and high voltage aplications. I admit that these weigh a slight bit more than standard wire strippers. Other brands of stainless steel wire strippers cost more than these great Southwire strippers. You will love them.

Quality tool with minimum of functions thus is actually easier to use. Has all of the features that I was looking for including screw cutting, J hook forming, wire cutting, nose plyers, and the strippers. The strippers are well marked on both sides with the strippers being the minimum gages actually needed thus are much easier to find the actual stripper needed in actual electrical work. This makes this tool more functional than other models with so many different sizes that they are hard to find the actual stripper needed to strip a wire. So even though I am a DIYer this tool is something that I rate as a tool that a professional would want and use.

Electrician for 20+ years. These just feel good in your hand. Ergonomic and well built. The stainless steel is great too! If I lost these today I’d buy them again in a heartbeat. Well done SouthWire.

It was a present for my daughter who is taking a HVAC course. She was pleased to accept the pliers.

Some of these things off Amazon are terrible. This set is actually pretty good. Pay attention to the available wire thickness you need to work with a s well as some omit sizes that are needed. This one has a good choice of settings for different wire gauges.

Two months of use and the handles are completely falling off..
