I got this door sill protector to go over the metal part on my BMW X7. It’s a brand new car and I didn’t want people to scratch the metal part. I think this will work great! It wasn’t super difficult to install, but takes time and patience. What I found to be helpful was to attach it at one end and then pull at about a 25° angle backwards using your other hand to flatten it. That seems to work the best to get the air bubbles out. I didn’t get all of them out, but it’s fine. I cleaned the sills really good with Windex before application. You definitely don’t want any dirt under the tape. It also comes off and does not leave a residue. I’m very happy with the product!

I’ll upload the photos in sometime. This product is good. I bought this product for my car rear bumper for protecting the scratches when bags or luggage loading unloading. But my car rear bumper design is not compatible that I can apply this tape overthere but I apply this tape as door step. It looks good and help protecting from scratches. Very strong product I recommend it.

used these in an attempt save my new truck door sills and jams jams -we have muddy boots and wanted to save the wear and tear during hunting trips -getting in and out with muddy chest waders......like the idea ...in my application they failed to adhere to the plastic sills in my Silverado 1/2 ton... might work for you tho

I got this to cover the door panels so my dog wouldn’t ruin them. Of course it’s obvious that the tape is there but it does the job well and to me, doesn’t look bad at all.

Easy to go on water proof if you have a special occasion and your car is filthy from the snow ice sleet rain peel this little sucker off and there it is brand new! Then put another piece on afterwards

A little tricky installing them . Used a heat gun to mold them to adhere to the curves in our light tan plastic trim sill mm plates.

We used this on both our car doors and handles and still have some left! It was really easy to apply. I took my car in for a car wash and the tape is still on there! Very happy with the purchase!

Looks great on my grey metallic color car it blend in really well but if you had different color than mine i think you should get the CLEAR one and not with carbon fiber looks on it just to be on the safe side.
