There were no directions. But it seemed obvious that peeling off all the backing at once would be a disaster. I lightly marked the left side of the wall for placement. Then I tore off a corresponding 5” strip of the left mural backing. I placed that edge (repeatedly to get it right). Then I tore the next strip of backing and anchored that, repeating a couple more times until I could manage removing the rest of the backing. When it was all up, there were air bubbles and tiny creases. So I lifted one corner at a time - almost to the middle - and then rubbed each section diagonally out from inside to the corner. I did it alone alone and it took about 15 minutes. Very pleased with the result!

once up and in place, we love the look of this product! It is not made of cheap materials and the adhesion is awesome...almost too much so. A lot of swearing went on between my hubby and me while putting it up. Better directions for install with hints and tips would be a big plus. Make sure you make a plan before starting, and whoever is helping you knows what that plan is! DO not try it alone haha. I would suggest to start by peeling the paper back in small increments from the TOP, smoothing it with a clean squeegee or something carefully as you go along. If you peel too much it could stick on itself which would be disastrous. Once up, you will not be disappointed.

I was a little nervous because the box was open and the roll was bent. I also read all of the reviews about it pulling the wall off when it was removed. Since I am in an office at work, I am not able to ruin the walls if I move offices. So, after looking at many options, I found the best one. I bought a tri-fold white board (which is the exact measurement for the window scene), taped the back so it didn't bend and easily placed the decal on the board. I nailed it to the wall with four tiny nails, silver nails right where the silver window hinge is and white nails on the outside border of the windowsill. I may even purchase another one, so I can switch them out.

First the negative: I bought this in a 3' x 4' size (approx). The directions said to put it up moving from side to side. I didn't think I would be able to keep it straight if I did it that way so I put it up going from top to bottom. I'm not sure if that's why I got an air pocket and a few small wrinkles. Tried to re-position it which stretched it a little and made it worse. The wrinkles blended in nicely with the palm fronds and are barely visible. For the air pocket, which was near the top of the image, I used a craft knife to slice an "L" shape in it. Then I sloooowy smoothed it out, tucking one side of the image under the other. Once again, barely visible. NOW THE POSITIVE:.... I love it!! The image is lovely, color are perfect, I've had lots of compliments on it. I think my trouble in putting it up had to do with the larger size but, even so, I would buy it again. To anyone buying this item I recommend you move very slowly but don't be discouraged. It really is nice.

I had an office with a window, got moved to a hole without windows. Not saying it’s great, but it makes it easier going into a room , given that k am a bit claustrophobic. Makes feel a bit bigger.

Looks great !Easy to install . I did it by myself but first u need to leave it one day with weight so it can be flat and measure where to put it , peel one side first and attached then Remove slowly And press at the same time.I got so may complements for the picture !And looks Amazing from far but when u get closer u can’t see the pixels .

Picture is nice but it came in 2 pieces which when put on the wall do not match up and will not stay on the wall. Put it up before I went to bed and it fell off the wall during the night. Very disappointed and a waste of money

Absolutely awful quality, it's like they zoomed into a postage stamp and printed it off. Came late so by the time we saw it we had exceeded return policy date. Don't order this.
