4 Month Review -After switching from Mach III razors Below is the listed product I am using as part of my "Shaving Arsenal." It took me a while to find each piece needed to bring it all together. My approach was finding all the pieces that had the best reviews vs. price. Just about everything listed below was the "highest price" but luckily these items don't cost much. Not CLOSE to as much as it costs to shave with Mach III Safety razors. If your ready to make the switch to a superior, and cheaper, alternative then check out the products below. Once it arrived I was right! It gives me a very fresh feeling after my morning shave, and has an amazing smell which isn't overpowering at all. The first thing I noticed about this handle is the quality. You can tell its not your basic cheap piece of metal. Its got a comfortable weight to it, keeps its brilliant chrome finish, and clean up is quick and easy. I consider myself a man with normal size hands and don't know why this one is considered "long handled." Its just a tad longer than the Mach III razor I used to use. However, it’s a night and day difference compared to those "Safety razors." It cuts very close with minimal passes. I'm half Filipino so I don't have the thickest facial hair but definably pull off a goatee without a problem. Other than one "Dud" all other blades have been very predictable and easy to use. I have gotten the occasional razor burn but that appears to be normal with any Double-edged razor. Based on previous reviews, it sounds like the amount of lather has significantly decreased. Does it work? Yes, but I like a good lather. Anyways, its been 3 months and I feel like I have maybe gone through half of this container which isn't bad. For as simple as it is, it lost two stars. There is a rim that goes along the bottom that has (or had) a black rubber piece that ran around it to provide a good footing for the Bowl while on a counter. The very first day this part fell off, it didn’t seat on there, and it wasn't glued. In the garbage that piece went. The next star was lost due to finish. Este es de los mejores Bay Rum del mercado a menor precio que otras marcas muy costosas, con aroma potente a clavo y especias, no es para nada aroma débil como otras marcas. Es muy buena calidad Pinaud. Igual se puede combinar con un poco de otros de Pinaud como Citrus Musk, Lime Sec, y unos pocos de cristales de mentol le dan más frescor. Es bastante versátil.

Reminds me of the time I spent in Cuba with Hemingway. We smoked cigars drank rum and fished the ocean day and night. I remember after being at sea for a month. We arrived at port to unload our spoils of the sea. I was approached by a young Cuban man. He told me if I gave him one of my prized Swordfish, he would trade me a bottle of aftershave. He went on to tell me that it was a special aftershave only for those of power especially a Favorite of a young Fidel Castro. Legend has it that any man that used this aftershave would be blessed with the affections of young women. Of course, I believed this young man I made the trade. To my dismay I tried the cologne after a hot shave my face felt like it had been dipped in molten lava. Soon after I felt like a cool ocean breeze on my face. I began to smell like spiced rum with notes of Tobacco and exotic spices. True to the young man's word after leaving my home to shop at a local market in Havana I was swarmed by 100 women. They began smelling me and trying to rip my shirt off just for the intoxicating scent. This caused a rift between me and Hemingway he wanted to know my secret to attracting the exotic island ladies. I never told him about my aftershave, but I am sure he had his suspicions. Some say the aftershave was a curse. I later contracted a rare case of Syphilis from all the young women I had the pleasure of meeting. I soon returned home to Canada I decided to leave my aftershave to Hemingway shortly after that well sad to say but Hemingway also contracted the same disease. He should have returned to the USA for treatment, but he lost his mind and went on to write the Old Man and The Sea. Years later I heard about his passing I thought right away if I never gave him the aftershave, he would never contracted Syphilis become an alcoholic and lose his mind. Many years have passed since then. All but forgotten about the aftershave until I discovered Amazon, I found a bottle of Clubman Bay Rum aftershave. I thought for the price I would give it a try. To my surprise it reminded me of the same bottle of aftershave the young man in Cuba traded me. Now that I am in my 90s it no longer attracts the young women. But the old ladies in my cribbage league tell me I smell nice. So, give it a try and maybe it will inspire you one day.
