Torque SolutionTS-SS-022 Short Shifter

Installing the shifter was very straight forward.Shifts feel solid and good.I have not had any issues with reverse lockout post breaking like others have had. If that becomes an issue I'll probably just weld it back on but Ill write a follow up if that ever happens.9/10 recommended.I give it a 9 instead of 10 due to the reverse lockout post being welded as opposed to cast as one piece. Making it a potential failure point. But it has not failed yet so it's not too big of a deal.

Installed this along with a brand new shirt ball boot I bought from Z1 motorsports they are about 30 bucks nissan p/n 32870-AC800 which is a must when you change the shifters out. So this shifter cut the throw feels like by 50%. It's precise feel and easy install makes this a must have upgrade! Worth every penny

Easy to install pretty straight forward be sure to order a new cupler or you could reuse your existing one but it will be damaged most likely. Overall shifts great and feels knotty. Great value!

I give this four star because I didn't know my shift knob would lower a little bit, I did install other parts when I installed this part so shifts were not as smooth as I thought like stock, so my shifts have actually been a little more difficult (I installed solid shift bracket bushings, and stiffer shifter springs) but definitely noticeable shorter shifts

So far 5 out of 5. Just installed and the throw was impressively less than the cheap one that was previously in there. A the gears are just right there and are a lot more solid feeling and would highly recommend

Chose this over the B&M partly because of price and mostly because the lower end includes a roller bearing instead of a nylon bushing. The install took about an hour in the Auto Hobby Shop on an Air Force Base near my home. It uses the stock shifter cup and not a machined aluminum one like the B&M, but the are still very precise. Shifting does require a little more effort but I will get used to that over time.

I dislike the quality of this item! The reverse lockout broke off making the vehicle unsafe. Can not drive car because the replacement takes over 48 hours. Be prepared to catch public transportation. Pictures show from normal day to day driving this happened. I thought the plate may have gotten loose but after I took apart the center console etc. I saw the pin laying in between the shifter and cup. Plate hadn’t budged. Buyer beware.

Shifter has excellent reduction of throw and very precise feel. Regarding quality: the threads were cut very poorly and needed to be re tooled, the pin for reverse lockout broke almost immediately and needed to be welded back in place. 5 stars as a short throw shifter, 1 star for quality.
