Ecover Rinse Aid, 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 6)

I recently switched from Cascade platinum rinse aid to EcoverRinse Aid because I have many silicone utensils and microwave covers and all of them started smelling and tasting (as I discovered when I taste tested from a silicone spoon) strongly of the Cascade Platinum pods and rinse aid. Yuck!We have extremely hard water living in Arizona, and without a rinse aid all of my glassware comes out of the dishwasher dull and spotty.The scent of the Ecover rinse aid is a little vinegary and I love that it smells natural, not of chemicals.I was horrified when I realized how strong the smell and taste was of the Cascade on my utensils and checked every silicone item in my kitchen and yep, everything had that same nasty scent! I stir delicate sauces and eggs with those utensils and the utensils aren't cheap! Plus if I can smell it and taste it then there was chemical residue leaching into my food!I kept the pods and rinse aid under the sink and everything under there smelled bad too. I actually had a bag of dog treats under there I had to throw out. I don't know if Cascade changed the chemicals they use but I hadn't noticed it being as bad as that before, or perhaps it built up over time, but I will never go back!I tried a number of different rinse aids and pods, natural and not so natural to find a replacement and many of them just didn't work, admittedly Cascade Platinum did a great (but stinky) job! I found that the Ecover Rinse aid was absolutely the best of all the brands I tried, and removed the hard water spots almost as well as the Cascade rinse aid and no nasty scent! Plus after a couple of washes my silicone items don't smell or taste of chemicals anymore.I gave my Cascade pods and rinse aid away.I also switched my pods and have separately reviewed that.I am extremely pleased with this rinse aid and have been using it for a couple of months now and the performance is great and just as importantly there is no nasty smell or taste!If this review has been helpful please click the helpful button and check out my other reviews. Seller needs to work on their packaging when shipping. 2 bottles leaked into the box. Luckily the other item was shrink wrapped and was not affected.Received 6 bottles as advertised.

Excellent eco friendly rinse aid. Minimal checmials, good rating from EWG. No smell which is great. I know it's a six pack so you are paying a bit up front but you'll use it eventually. Worth it. Does a great job. Dishes come out super clean, clear and dry. Only complaint is that when it's a brand new bottle it sort of spills too much when pouring because the bottle is pretty full. But not a deal breaker.

Eco friendly and chemically-friendly for my family (no longer worried about what chemicals remain on my dishes, even if I can't see it). ooh, it works very well and no residual and no smell. I also use the ecover dishwasher tablets and I can's be happier. We moved over to these environmentally friendly products over three years ago; and thank you to Amazon for making it so easy to buy these products. Although there are many health food stores who stock these products where I live, but some times they run out of stock and are more expensive. I just love the ecover products for the dishwasher, expecially when I am going to eat off the plate!

This product works as good as any rinse aid does (I don't think there are any that will reliably get the water drops off plastic containers). This one is better than most in that it has no unpleasant odor or taste. And that was getting to be problem for me with other rinse aids. So I like this one and will continue to buy.
