I don’t enjoy writing poor reviews but when it comes to feeding your baby I would assume most would take the matter seriously so I wanted to share my experience.I’m not picky about brand name vs generic; in fact I’ve purchased other things from nenesupply and had good success. This was not one of those items. Upon inspection/first glance I couldn’t tell the difference between these membranes and the actual spectra ones. I was also an oversupplier so it took me a really long time to realize my pumping output was slowly decreasing when I switched to these. I also went back to school and work so I blamed my slow decrease on stress.Then suddenly my output decreased to nearly nothing last week. I went from pumping 3-4 oz to 0.5-1oz. My son is 8 months and breastfeeding and pumping had been going great up to that point so it was pretty alarming. I had bought two sets of these membranes so I tried switching to a new set a few days ago with no luck.I reordered the actual spectra shield instead and tried it out today as a last ditch effort and was able to get 2 oz, double what I’ve been pumping all week. Hopefully it’s not too late to save my supply!I’m all about saving money so if you do give these a try just be mindful and if you start noticing a dip in supply just spend the extra few bucks on the name brand instead!

I bought these for my Spectra S2 along with the Nenesupply duckbill valves. They fit perfectly and I noticed an increase in suction after switching to these. Spectra recommends switching both these backflow protectors and the duckbill valves regularly depending on how much you pump. I plan to try and keep switching them out every 3 months as recommended. I pump 3 times a day 3 days a week and once a day the other 4 days a week.

I was returning to work & needed to replace the diaphragms & duckbills. The amount I was pumping took a little dip - I'm a low producer, so any dip is a bad thing. Replaced with these diaphragms & they work great. Cost less than ordering from Spectra & Amazon Prime had them delivered quickly. I ordered 2 sets, but I know I'll be ordering more in the next month or so.

I did not get the same (desired) suction with these as Spectra diaphragms. I ended up buying an entire spectra parts kit to replace everything all at once which I found to be cheaper than buying individual parts anyway. Pass on these- but I did find Nene supply duckbill valves worked just fine.

I have two Spectra pumps, and one of the pumps I don't use as often and had it stored off somewhere, when I noticed recently that mold had grown on the backflow protector. I had to get a replacement backflow protector right away. They did seem a little thicker when I received this pair, but since I have been using them interchangeably with the Spectra pieces, I don't even know which one is which anymore. Works perfect.
