Peace of mind quaranteed
Maxi-Cosi e-Snooze Baby Sleep Tracker is a device that will give all newborn parents the peace of mind we all need at the beginning of parenthood. It is suitable from birth up to 12 months. Needs to be placed under the baby's mattress, but you need to remember that that mattress cannot be more than 5cm thick, in order for the device to work correctly. It monitors the baby’s heart rate, respiratory rate, and sleep cycle and uploads the data in the Maxi-Cosi Smart app.The setup is pretty easy and did not take too much time. The device itself seems quite small but it is very well made of high-quality materials. It is pricey, but peace of mind is priceless!Thank you for reading my honest and unbiased review, I hope you found it helpful! :)

Would Have Preferred Universal Use:
A good little investment for a new parent, normally more anxious than a seasoned parent.Parents who need reassurance - especially with the knowledge and risk of cot death more prevalent in the first six months. It's a monitoring tool for CO-SLEEPING, but all monitoring tools are prone to failure so it cannot be substituted for expert medical care for unwell babies.Suitable only for bedside sleeping, bedside cribs and only with a mattress thays less than 5cm thick. You can't use this in a travel cot as the readings are unreliable in such a system. It's extremely thin and cannot be easily detectable under the mattress which makes it no different, in comfort, than without. A good thing. The mat is of a very good quality fabric, well designed and just the right size to be placed predominantly under baby's chest. It holds a 2 week charge and is provided with a length of micro USB lead. I would have preferred a USB-C, which of course would have made it more universal to use with my already connected leads around the home.I can accurately track baby's heart rate, breathing rate and sleep cycles. The latter of which is crucial for a new parent who is following a strict sleep routine for work-from-home parents such as that by the pretty well regarded Gina Ford series of books and other writers with similar guidelines. The Maxi-Cosi Smart app is easy to navigate and simple to connect to. I have access to a record of baby's last few sleeps so that I can determine if and why baby is unsettled and how to go about remedying this using my preferred baby routine.I realise not everyone likes to have a parent-led sleep cycle, some prefer to go by the baby-led method. Having tried them both over the years for my own children, what worked better for our lifestyle was parent-led as our little ones were happier, more settled and, in the absence of communication, I was able to quickly gauge why baby is feeling the way they are. This may not suit everyone's way of life. Regardless, a sleep cycle log such as this one by way of the app and the sensitive mat, made life so much simpler.4 stars, as I would have preferred it to be used in the cotbed too, as our little one transitioned onto cotbed at around 6 weeks.

If its not broken dont fix it.
I'm all for trying new things that may benefit me as a parent of a young child, however as per my title headline my overall view is that this gadget isn't a necessity for parenting and is money that could go towards nappies, food etc.The mat was much smaller and thinner than i anticipated however it does look very sleek and of good quality considering the thin size. Firstly this baby sleeper tracker is aimed at babies up to 12 months, however realistically you will only get a good use of it up to the first 6 months or however long they are in a next to me cot due to the thicker mattresses in a normal cot and the size of them. Whilst using in my babies next to me cot, setting it up was very straight forward, however the data that it was feeding back wasn't always accurate. It's a good job this is my second child so i'm alot more confident, otherwise i definitely would've been in a panic and anxious over the app results. I seemed to get incorrect results on my childs alert time, and knew i wasn't going crazy as i'm usually awake late so was able to proof check the results.Overall its a cool gadget to get heart rate and sleep cycle summaries, however a parent you just can't beat your instinct and monitoring yourself, thats why they call it sleepless nights as you do the hard work rather than a computer. Its good to assist however i wouldn't trust the results and for the price, its alot for the inconsistencies you experience.

For peace of mind over the night
I was sceptical at first, but after using this for a few weeks now I’m absolutely convinced by the accuracy of this baby monitor mat.Setup was easy. First make sure the pad is fully charged if not just use a microUSB to recharge. Place it under your mattress about chest hight and keep it turned on. The monitoring app needs to be installed on the phone and paired with the mat. I’m not sure if this app is available for apple devices but it works perfectly on an Android phone. Then syncs the mat with the App. Once you lay down you baby for sleep you can monitor the baby's heart rate, respiratory rates and sleep cycle. The app is very intuitive and easy to use, it shows you the Heart rate and Respiratory rate in real time. The app also tells you if this rate is normal high or too low and gives you a warning message in case if the any of the health rates are outside of the normal rate. Shows not just the real time information but also it can be saved and viewed in a monthly or weekly chart for the heart rate, respiratory rate and also for the hours of sleep. This can be very useful when you go to see your nurse or doctor as they will be able to diagnose some heart or lungs issues with this informationThe pad is very thin, will not be uncomfortable for the baby as it’s nearly unnoticeable once you cover it with a baby mattress, but the mattress can’t be more then 5cm thick otherwise this would not work or will show you some inaccurate ratesIt is great to have a mat like this, it gives you peace of mind especially in the first half year. Sometimes I just woke up in the middle of the night and two feeding time, I check the app on my phone which shows me everything is fine so I don’t need to worry.
