Simply Eezy Oyster Knife with Full Tang Blade and Wood Handle

I have owned several oyster knives, this so far has been the best and for the price (I paid $5) you can't beat it.The only improvement I would suggest is to make the handle larger and not as "smooth" a surface. If your knife hand gets wet it can be difficult to manipulate the knife, as long as you keep your knife had dry it's a great oyster knife.The sheath is a nice bonus too, it is well made out of leather.After ordering one knife, I liked it so much I ended up ordering 3 more so when I have friends or family over they can enjoy them as well.

Received this knife 2 days ago. Used it last night to open some oysters. Knife itself is great and sturdy. However I couldn't figure out where to put my thumb. There is no support for it. Maybe I'm not using it correctly. I used other knives before and never have my thumb feel so sore afterward. I'll give it another try before giving up and buying a different knife.Update to review.Used the knife a few more times, I'm still not sure how to handle it. The last time I used it, the skin on my index finger was gone and was bleeding, not because of the oysters but because of the knife. Not sure if I would recommend this product to anyone.

This was a gift for my husband, he loves the look and the sheath. He has not used it yet and is unsure of the skinny handle (big hands) and he does likes that it has a blade guard. He really likes it .

Oyster knife design, I suppose, is a set of trade-offs. This knife has a thick blade so that even though it has a sharp point, it can be very difficult to get into the hinge. The small handle doesn't help. There may be some technique which I don't understand.

Awkward small handle, poorly placed finger guard doesn't work and there is not bent lip to pop the oysters. It does cut the mussel from the top shell perfectly. It need work. But it is beautiful for the money, makes a great shiv. Could always sharpen one side for a small cut knife or fancy letter opener.

Looks great. Good quality. I don't use this one much because it is dangerously pointed and sharp. My every day shucker with rounded edges works for all but the most stubborn oysters. This one works for those stubborn ones.

I purchased 2, used mine repeatedly for weeks now with no issues. Be careful as the tip is sharp. Gave the other as a gift
