Good product, but missing wiring instructions
Works great. If you can get it for a good price, buy it. As another reviewer said, you'll need to go to the Superwinch website to get the wiring instructions. Quick run down, red goes to positive on the solenoid or ignition as I did with mine, black to negative on the solenoid, yellow to black controller wire, blue to green controller wire. You'll take the negative battery cable off the solenoid and wire it to the left side of the box, use the short jumper wire provided from the right side of the box to the negative pole on the solenoid. I wouldn't use the splices that are included for the small wires, they are too big for the wire gauge, mine didn't make good contact. Instead, cut and strip the wire and combine it with the controller wire in a crimp connector, then plug it on the solenoid as you normally would.

Caution
Don’t buy it. You can’t download the app to control it anymore.

Don't Buy It.
1) The app has been pulled from the App Store and the Google Play Store.2) Even if you have the app installed on your Apple device, the app will not work in iOS13. (Presumably because iOS13 expects the Internet to be reachable via WiFi; if the Internet is not reachable, it doesn't truly 'connect' to the WiFi access point--which is the ROAM in this case.)Society/the market has yet to figure out how to properly handle situations when apps and/or cloud services are no longer supported or made available by the companies that made/sold/marketed them.It is immaterial whether Superwinch stopped selling ROAMs and pulled their app from the App Store and Google Play because the demand for ROAMs was not what they were expecting, or because of their acquisition by Westin. In either case, they should have continued to make the app available for download or made the app open source so that current customers could continue to use it and enthusiasts could continue to support it. After all, users of the app bought physical devices (a Superwinch winch and a Superwinch ROAM).When apps and/or cloud services are required to control or interact with physical objects (e.g. smart home, connected car, medical devices, etc.), companies ceasing support and/or availability of those apps and/or cloud services has real (negative) consequences for end users--oftentimes without mitigation.(See also: Google's recent decisions regarding Nest, Automatic Labs shutting down cloud services required by some of their connected car devices, and numerous others I am sure.)I (used to) use a Superwinch winch controlled by a ROAM in an enclosed car trailer. I specifically chose the Superwinch winch SOLELY because of the ROAM capability; due to the location I had to install the winch, the winch is was only controllable via the ROAM; I could not use a remote to control the winch. Now I have a winch that is a doorstop, a winch controller (ROAM) that is a doorstop, and have to engineer some sort of alternative. Thanks Superwinch!

Problems resolved with customer service from their Facebook
Where to begin.... Got this as an add on to the Terra 35 winch I purchased. Winch is great... This unit (2912) not so much. The unit came with wiring pigtails instead of the remote plug adapter it states and no wiring diagram for the 4 loose conductors. Been trying to contact superwinch.c for over a week with no luck. Tried phone, and 3 different email addresses with no response.I was able to get through to customer service on their Facebook page... Must be phone/email issues there. Got the kind of support I had heard of from Jon. I was mistakenly sent the wrong part but he sent me the wiring diagram for the other part which worked better for me. Jon saved the day. Thanks again. The roam has been a great addition to my new winch.
